Lisburn Youth League

The Lisburn Youth League is an amateur football league for boys and girls in the Lisburn and Castlereagh areas of Northern Ireland.

The league was founded in 1990 by the late Tommy Whiteside and Stanley Sheppard. It started with just 40 teams but has since grown to become one of the largest youth leagues in Northern Ireland.

The league currently has around 130 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from U10 upwards.

Format

The league is divided into a number of divisions, with each division having a set number of teams. The teams play each other home and away, and the top teams in each division qualify for promotion to the next division.

The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the Lisburn Youth League Cup, the Lisburn Youth League Shield, and the Lisburn Youth League Challenge Cup.
