Selkent League
The Selkent League is an amateur football league in Kent, England. It was founded in 1922 and currently has 40 teams competing in three divisions. The league is affiliated to the Kent County Football Association.
History
The Selkent League was founded in 1922 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The original name of the league was the Orpington & District League. The league was renamed the Selkent League in 1947.
The Selkent League has been home to some of the most successful amateur football teams in Kent. In recent years, the league has produced several teams that have won the Kent Senior Trophy.
Current Structure
The Selkent League currently has 40 teams competing in three divisions. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the Division One and the Division Two.
The Premier Division champions are promoted to the Kent League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Division One. The Division One champions are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Division Two. The Division Two champions are promoted to the Division One, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Kent Junior League.
