Sheffield and District Junior League

The Sheffield and District Junior League (SDJSL) is a football league for boys and girls aged 7 to 18 in the Sheffield area. It is one of the largest junior leagues in Europe, with over 1,000 teams registered.

History

The SDJSL was founded in 1921 and is affiliated to the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA. The league initially consisted of just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has teams from all over the Sheffield area.

Structure

Sheffield & District Junior Sunday League action

The SDJSL is divided into a number of divisions, depending on the age of the players. The Premier League is the top division, followed by Division One, Division Two, and so on. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the League Cup, and the Floodlit Cup.
