Sussex Sunday Football League
The Sussex Sunday Football League is an adult grassroots competition for club teams playing on Sundays. The league dates its establishment to 1960. Its current rules define a membership area covering Sussex, Surrey and Kent, reflecting a competition whose clubs are drawn from a broad part of the south-east.

League football on Sundays
The SSFL organises divisional football for its member clubs, with league and cup competition forming part of the programme. The competition is administered under the FA’s standard code of rules for adult football, while its own rules set out the commitments expected of participating clubs.

Standards and inclusion
The league’s rules require clubs to support the FA’s Respect programme and commit the competition and its clubs to inclusivity and non-discrimination. They also require participants to follow the FA’s safeguarding regulations for children and adults at risk.
