Teesside Junior Football Alliance

The Teesside Junior Football Alliance (TJFA) is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 7-18 in the Teesside area of England.

The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 200 teams competing in 11 divisions. The TJFA is affiliated to the Football Association (FA) and its teams are eligible to compete in FA competitions.

History

The TJFA was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league's first season had just 10 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 200 teams.

The TJFA has hosted a number of prestigious tournaments over the years, including the FA Vase and the FA Youth Cup. The league has also produced a number of professional footballers, including former England internationals Paul Gascoigne and Alan Shearer.

League Structure

The TJFA currently has 11 divisions, ranging from the U7 Division to the U18 Division. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the previous division.

The TJFA also has a number of cup competitions, including the TJFA Challenge Cup, the TJFA League Cup, and the TJFA President's Cup.
