In AFC's 7 years in existance, NEVER have they won the FINAL league game of the season. This year proved to be a bitter pill to swallow, as the season has had so many plus points to look back on. Mitchell AGAIN for the third time consecutively ended up the top goal scorer with a total of 40 in all competitions, followed closely all season by Callam Lytham on 37 in his debut year. Lee Wright again got his name on the list of TOP GOALSCORERS, for the SIXTH consecutive year, ending up 3rd with 17 in all competitions. The club as a whole broke the "TOTAL GOALS" for the season yet again, this time smashing a "MASSIVE" 168 in all competitions (100 League, 32 Pre Seas, 20 Dssc, and16 Alma Cup) those coming in just 29 games, THAT beating a previous best of 155 in 32 games 2 years ago. They progressed to Quater Final stages of BOTH cup competitions, this at FIRST ATTEMPT in each trophy. Previous best Quater Final of Hutson Cup way back in the 2009 10 season. Todays match best bits.
3 Mins GOAL ! Danny Brown goes on a jinking run before finding Callam Lytham he in turn found JEZ MITCHELL who worked some space in the box before clipping a sublime ball over the keepers desparing dive.

20 Mins GOAL ! Brickmakers stun the visitors by grabbing a deserved lead just 5 mins later, a through ball was failed to be cut out and the striker slipped the ball past tjhe advancing keeper.

50 Mins GOAL ! Brickmakers start the 2nd half on the front foot and grab a two goal lead after a dreadfull defensive error sees the Brickies striker streak away, round the keeper and slide the ball home.
73 Mins GOAL ! Its" GAME OVER" for AFC as another cross into the box is nodded in from 6 yards giving the hosts an unassailable 4-1 lead.
75 Mins Bettney makes a double substitution with himself and Jordan Spencer making way for Whitehead and Bonson taking to the field.
80 Mins GOAL ! It proves to be a case of "TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE" as AFC grab a consolation goal, Danny Brown again goes on a thrusting run through the middle but his progress is stalled when he is upended 25 yards from goal. MITCHELL steps up to bend the free kick beyond the keeper, and grab the striker his 40th of the season, and his125th of "ALL TIME"
