6 Mins GOAL !!  Vice Captain who has stepped up to the Armband following Goodwins injury makes a telling contribution with a fine ball up the wing and sees MITCHELL gather the pass before weaving through the defence and slipping the ball past the advancing keeper for 1-0....THE GOAL MACHINE IS BACK !!

14 Mins Wells is on hand to push a stinging shot away as Clowne try to take adavantage of the slope and wind.

22 Mins Wells again after AFC lose the ball in midfield, he parries the shot before gathering the ball at the 2nd Attempt, its a very even end to end game at the moment.

33 Mins GOAL !! Clowne are back in the game after Megyesi is harshlybadjudged to have handled the ball after a goalmouth tussell with Clownes centre forward. The penalty is well dispatched.

51 Mins GOAL !! Lytham spins past defender and pulls the ball across the 6 yard box from a tight angle and WRIGHT is unmarked by the far post to prod the ball home as AFC threaten to strangle hold the game.

55 Mins A GOLDEN opportunity for Mitchell to grab a returning hat-trick when he is fouled in the box but his spot kick is well saved.

58 Mins Wright goes close to pulling off a superb over head kick, it turns out to be his last action of the match.

60 Mins Manager Paul Walton makes a couple of changes with the game seemingly won. The out of sorts Aitkin and livewire striker Wright replaced by Widerman coming back from injury and Walton himself.

65 Mins GOAL !! You cant keep him down, Danny Brown on a defence busting run is upended in the box as Clowne begin to lose a little self control. This time MITCHELL makes no mistake, drilling the spot kick down the middle for his hat-trick.

70 Mins !! GOAL !! Its penalty time AGAIN as Wells with an unblemished performance races from goal and upends the Wanderers striker in his effort to collect the ball. The resultant spot kick is smashed home to give the visitors a light to aim for at 4-2 with 20 mins remaining.

75 Mins GOAL !1 Wanderers take advantage as AFC fail to clear the ball from defence, the striker finishes well from a tight angle as the HOSTS take thier foot off the gas a little.

78 mins GOAL !! AFC heed the warning and grab a 2 goal cushion within 3 minutes to ease the worries, Lee Walton weaves into the Wanderers box, the ball is half cleared and MASON lashes his shot through a crowded area and into the net.

80 Mins Time for another change, Bonson comes on for the IMPRESSIVE Danny Brown, who for the 2nd game running has caused a defence mighty headaches.

83 Mins Pressure on the 10 man visitors begins to take its toll as its now one way traffic, a Spencer thunder throw into the box, Lytham is unlucky not to register a goal as his fine flicked header is smartly tipped over by the keeper.

85 Min GOAL !! AFC wrap the game up completly from another Spencer long throw that is headed to the back post by Mason for MITCHELL to register his FOUR goal haul hitting a RASPING VOLLEY from a tight angle and drilling it in just inside the other post Van Basten like.

FULL TIME    AFC Whitecotes.....6   Clowne Wanderers F.C.....3  AFC climb from 6th to 4th in the League with a excelent Home Win against another strong opposition. All Players had a game they could be proud of, Megyesi stepped up to the Captains role and soon put the Penalty disapointment behind him. AFC take on another team they should look to take full advantage of, before the tough away game, albeit at Rother Rec against a POWERFUL Hasland treble winning side who have so far won 3 out of 3.
