Home cup match played on 31 August 2013.
Kicked off at 2:30 PM

What a day for Ballyoulster U21 first home game of the season.  The opponents were Inchicore Athletic.  Moorinho tinkered with the starting eleven again for this cup match.

Moorinho was a bit suspect when he met the ref  - This was his fourth game today,  All the other games he reffed were SCHOOLBOY.

So Ballyoulster U21 , took to the field , A bit nervous in the first 10-15 minutes , Once again our hero from the previous game Eoin Smith , pulled off a couple of early saves , just to prove his last game was not a fluke.  After the dreaded 15th minute mark, Ballyoulster started to impose thier onw style of football on this game.  This was paying off as Ballyoulster piled on the pressure and you could start to see the cracks in the Inchicore armour.  Time and time again Ballyoulster were getting closer and closer to opening the scoring.

Mr A.P. who was the man in the middle did his utmost to stop this from happening,  has it transpires he is related to Inchicore Players and also visits thier facebook page regularly to post likes ????????.

Anyway , with 28 mins on the clock , Our young Centre Half Jamie Hennessey , picked up the ball just inside the Inchicore half,  He beat one player and decided to play a shot/pass into our forward line.  The Inchicore Centre Half put off by the pressense of the Ballyoulster U21 team sporting white mistimed his interception and proceeded to hook the ball , which in return lobbed the hobbitt like Goal Keeper in the Inchicore net.  1 - 0 to the Home team.

This was not how the Inchicore team expected the game to play out - after all they won 8-1 last week.  I bet Mr A.P.  DID NOT LIKE THAT.(wonder will we see a post on facebook about same).

Inchicore tipped off and tried to play some nice football , this resulted in them scoring a goal , which from the sideline looked a bit off-side.  1-1

With just a couple of mins to the half time team talk and Oranges with Bananas (Nobody like the Bananas).  Inchicore centre forward found some space in the box and calmly placed the ball under the dive of Smith.  2-1  to Inchicore.  As Ballyoulster were about to tip off, the Ref (who was tweeting on the Inchicore site at the time) did not notice that all the Inchicore players were in the opposing half.

So half time arrived , Moorinho changed Paul Gardiner for Eoin Cox in the centre , Cox had already being booked for trying to swap jerseys with the Inchicore player in the first half.  I don't know why  - Cox looked ripped in the new white jersey - All those late night weights are adding to his physic.

The second half kicked off and Ballyoulster got stuck in again.  This game was going to turn in Ballyoulster's favour  (or was it)(A.P. Like this post).

James Walsh playing in a new role just behing the centre forward, took on three Inchicore players on the edge of the Inchicore box , He beat one , he beat another and then he was obstucted by the third, Moorinho could feel a nice free kick coming up here.  But to his and and home teams amazment the ref awarded a free kick to Inchicore and booked James Walsh.  Moorinho then commented to the line that it was a Shoolboy Ref.  Mr A.P.  who is a schoolboy ref was insents with this comment and stopped the game and asked the Special one to leave the ground.  Moorinho in shock was just about to make two subs.  He did this and thanks to Arran Doyle's Father and the lads on the line , Moorinho removed himself from the pitch.  Moorinho then set down on the far side of the pitch (did not make  any comments etc).  The Ref then stopped the game and asked Moorinho to head outside the gate,  Now Moorinho being in the best of health could not have walked this distance, his bike keys were still beside the pitch.  Moorinho moved back further(under Health and Safety regulation) Moorinho is required to be close to the game, in case a player needs treatment.(Mr A.P. did not figure this in).

After 65 mins, Darragh O'Boyle was taken out of it , Mr A.P. brother then kicked the ball at O'Boyle (in the words of Alex Ferguson could have killed him).  O'Boyle said to the ref what the **** was that.  Mr A.P. then proceeded to try and help Inchicore out even more by sending O'Boyle off.  Even with ten men V twelve Ballyoulster battled and were unlucky not get a draw.  We will have our revenge in the League games against these.

The game ended Moorinho paid the ref , but the ref would not even shake his hand, The special one demanded that he shake his hand which he then did so.

A Big thank you to all the players today and to Mr Doyle was jumping in and John Kelligher who did the line.  You all did me proud and kept going.  Moorinho now missing a good match ball , headed home and spent the next 2 hours onto the league about what happened.  We wait with bathed breath.
