Away league match played on 05 April 2014.
Kicked off at 10:25 AM

The second away game on the bounce saw the same amount of Bilbrook goals scored as the previous game away at Middleton. This week’s lamb’s to be slaughtered were Kinver.  Having played Kinver earlier this season, Bilbrook put 10 goals past them. Guess what – another 10 this week. Unfortunately for Bilbrook, the season has ended all too early. The beginning of the season saw us winning games by much closer margins, with the defensive unit winning games by their resolute defending. Bilbrook have now evolved into a free scoring team who still are mean in defence...

A bobbly pitch looked as though playing a passing game may be difficult. Kinver pressed the ball in numbers for the first 10 minutes or so, but Bilbrook overcame the surface to dominate.

Having gone one up through an early goal from Sammy, Bilbrook rarely looked back. Chances came thick and fast for Bilbrook, all the action in the Kinver half. When half time arrived, Bilbrook were ahead 7-0, the other 6 goals coming from Lewis Cornwell (2), Theo (2), Elliot and Tom.

The midfield was dominated by Troy and Lewis, the back four solid with Louis get forward from left back on plenty of occasions. The second half saw Bilbrook pushing for more goals, but Kinver had other ideas. Alex had a mad couple of minutes, which resulted in Kinver first going close, then scoring. Alex, is then taken out of goal as planned and goes to play up front, Sammy taking his place between the sticks.

Alex then proves his all round ability and goes on to score 2 goals in quick succession, you couldn’t make this up!! Brilliant Big Al... A lapse in concentration let in the Kinver centre forward who struck a fierce shot that flew into the net, giving Sammy no chance, but fine effort!!!!

A power strike from Max made the final score Kinver 2 – 10 Bilbrook.

A great performance to sign off with, was the perfect end to the season.

Two significant events took place during this fixture; Lewis cornwell was picked up by WBA and is off to the academy for 6 weeks - wish you all the best lewis.

Max Morris played his final game for Bilbrook, moving on to pastures new next season. We would like to say that Max has been a great player and personality to have at the club and we will all miss him. Good luck next season Max.
