Blackham again struggle with availability for this game and have a few injuries in the team.

Although the 11 men were strong.

Nicul in the goal, with Gammon and Bayley working together in the centre of the defence.

The lack of wing men was compensated by quality in the middle of the park

The game got of to an even start with both sides testing out each other.

The play was mainly from defence to defence cutting out the middle with both sides playing long ball, however Blackham put some good moves together with the new boy upfront Lattimer working well with the powerhouse that is Craig Goznell.

Mickey melons was turning in and out of trouble like he does and there defence did a good job working together to cut out the attacks.

The deadlock was broken by the high brooms boys – a run down the left wing put a cross in to an unmarked pikey who tapped in from 3 yards.

Instead of heads going down blackham rallied and soon hit back james lattimer making a half chance on the right hand side of the box, superb strike back to

1-1.

High brooms again came back and exerted more pressure on the blakham back line and a hopeful shot from the edge of the box sneaked in round the post to put brooms 2-1 up.

The second half Blackham relied again and most of the play was in the high brooms half – a few chances were created and missed notably from  Lattimer and the great man himself.

But the pressure had to pay off and did when the ball was played through to the captain and he comfortably slotted home for 2-2.

Blackham continued to pile on pressure however the draw seemed a usual result – but then right in the last minute gozzy took on the back line and again slotted In the winner for blckham. A great team performance for the lads and everyone went to the put after and I hope this bring much needed love and togetherness back to the Blackham.
