Home friendly match played on 14 August 2014.
Kicked off at 7:00 PM

Only 3 confirmed on Tuesday turned into 16 players on Thursday night so it was a bit of a disjointed affair with everyone bar Tyson doing 2/3 of a game.  After an interminably long team talk from the the bumble bee yellow/black striped oppo we finally got started and the delay seemed to galvanise BoC as we went into a 2-0 lead.  Ilyas curled in a beauty and then the buzzing Wayne also tucked one in.  h-t was 2-0 and we were looking comfortable.

As the rain came down again the game mirrored being with Stu’s Mum where the tempo increased as the wetness increased.   To combat this on came Ed/Cliff Richard who surprised everyone with his appearance, banking that if his team mates can’t find him with a pass despite being on the same pitch then how are operation yewtree going to? especially if PC Speakman is involved.

They got back to 2-2 with 2 goals I can’t remember & then we saw the 3 highlights of the game; a sumptuous crossfield ball from Baldwin, Ed proving that you can’t change your spots as he bundled over an oppo player, proving he is still nothing but a bully.  Finally a lovely turn & pass from Latchford set up Anthony to put us 3-2 up (Latchford unleashed a Henman fist pump to celebrate)  This was looking how it was going to end until the late leveller.

Off to the pub where James  regaled us with stories on the Levenson enquiry – this is what the pub attendance should be about – here is his book here if anyone wants to buy it, sure the money will be reinvested in the Duke at some stage.
