Home league match played on 22 September 2013.

First game, first win for the men in blue. Boca kicked off against FC92 in their first ESPZEN league game and captain Ryan started with the traditional 4-4-2 which saw a make shift defence consisting of qaiser at right back and max on the left due to injury problem/personal committment from weiliang and lionel, Edi and John continued their strong partnership at the heart of defence, and ryan opted for power in the central midfield area with parvin and stanley along each other. Yicong and huiyang started ahead of benny and FC92 old boy jason while ryan partnerned gabir up front.

Boca got the game running early as the first shot on target resulted in the goal. A flick by huiyang saw ryan let the ball bounced across his body and unleashed a 25 yard volley which hit the back of the net and he would be delighted by that effort. 1-0 Boca. FC92 then tried to attack Boca which saw alot of gaps behind saw gabir and yicong through on goal for a few times but the egytian and the latter couldnt find the net. Towards the end of the half, john was brought down in the box by the fc92 defender which saw gabir stepped up ... but missed the spot kick. Half time 1-0.

Second half saw Boca brought  their two mercurial wingers, jason and benny on. It nearly saw immediate effect as benny was terrorizing the left back with his speed and high pressure in the opponents half. Jason nearly scored against his old club as he saw his one v one flashed wide. Max, who was having a decent game then fed ryan with a simple grounder, who this time threaded a through ball for gabir who made no mistake when faced one on one with the keeper. 2-0. At this time boca was cruising as FC92 started to tire due to the weather, the gaps soon became bigger as FC92 left huge holes behind, Yicong decided to take matter into his own hands by running down the flank before smashing the ball home for 3-0 and he was over the moon for ending that small goal drought. Gabir then wrapped things up by doing his usual stuff before wrong footing the keeper and made the scoreline abit extravagant. The defence was also exceptional today, birthday boy or man, edi had a great game by winning most air duels while john was a treat both defensively and attacking set pieces. The two full backs who played out of position stood their ground well, qaiser was composed on the ball and that will do him a whole of good, max was playing a very simple but eye catching display at left back. Huiyang was threatning all day with his long diagonal crosses and munchung was simply impregnable despite that frame of his. Alvin was keeping a safe pair of hands and didnt look troubled at all. Kudos to Gabir for keeping a cool head and redeming himself for missing e spot kick.

The motm certainly goes to parvin, though it would seem that he is an unsung hero, he was there where the ball was and his passes were neat today. Though playing as a CM, he acted like a DM chasing opponent down the flanks and was at the heart of almost anything. We reallly hope to build on from here and look forward to next game against Legacy. Till then, everyone performed well today and deserves praises but do keep your feets on the ground as we still have 13 games to go and will take it one step at a time. Viva La Boca :)
