Away league match played on 30 March 2013.
Kicked off at 3:00 PM

Boreham went into the second game of this double header with
no fresh legs and only one sub who would only arrive at half time,
the team that took the field included an unchanged back five of
Bruce, Charter, Worthington, Powell and Parsons. The midfield was
made up of Dale, Goodchild, Simpson and Baines with Cowcher &
Rush up front.

From the off both teams looked tired and content for a point, the majority of the
first 20 minutes was contested in the middle third with both teams looking comfortable
at the back. Boreham were first to trouble the visitors with a nice move up the left, Dale
hit the byline and cut the ball back only for Cowcher to lash over in what was a difficult
chance.

Shortly after that OCs had a couple of corners, the second was not cleared and the
unmarked centre forward lashed home from 6 yards, poor defending from Boreham who
allowed the striker too much space, 0-1 to OCs.

The first half came to an end after a couple of decent stops from Bruce, Boreham went in
one nil down with chances few and far between.

The second half started brightly with the introduction of Smith for Baines, Smith looked
dangerous and full of energy, something Boreham had been missing in the first half. Although
Boreham perhaps finishing the stronger they struggled to create any chances of note, a few
long distance shots from Rush who struggled with a back injury during the second half.

The second half fizzled out and OCs took all three points home with a 0-1 win, a good
result for OCs who took on a Boreham team who struggled for players and fitness. Boreham
have another tricky tie against Laindon at home next week, a tough test which will need
significant improvement to take the points.
