Away league match played on 15 September 2013.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

The whites were away to a west London youth side who last week ran out 17-0 winners, so we were in for a tough game.
We started the game quite tentatively, just feeling out the opposition ( some of the boys had heard about last weeks score!!) but soon realised that with the type of performance we put in last week we could more than match them. The first half was defiantly ours. Lucas and Harv controlled the midfield, and with James and caleb providing a shield for our back two we were soon on the attack. A fantastic through ball from Harv sent Harrison down the line. his neat control and cross was met by Lucas who forced their goalie into a decent save. Every attack from west London was quickly stifled either by caleb or James intercepting the ball or some very powerful defending from Adam and Tyler. Our best chance of the first half came from a west London attack. Tyler's well times tackle fell for Adam who powerfully brought the ball up the pitch. After some neat skills his pass found Harv who rasping shot was well saved by west londons keeper.
The second half was a much more even affair. Max was called into action a lot more, but as always felt with everything with confidence and ease. Although west London had more of the play they never really looked like scoring. Wether it be caleb or James getting a toe in, Harrison closing down their defenders and giving them no time or the superb defending of Adam and Tyler we managed to keep them to taking pot shots from long range. Then came our breakthrough. Some superb play by Lucas provided Harriman with a chance. After a battle with the defender the ball somehow found its way through the goalies legs, it was then a flat race between Harrison and the goalie and Harrison managed to get there first to poke the ball home. It was only what our boys deserved for another fantastic team performance.

Max. Very confident game. Handled everything thrown at him and his distribution was spot on
Tyler. Another superb game. Assured when under pressure and never missed a tackle the whole game. Man of the match.
Adam. Getting better with every game. Superb defending combined with great skills and composure when on the ball
Caleb. Very disciplined game. Broke up several attacks and made several important tackles. A real team player.
James. Growing with ever game. Some superb touches on the ball and some great passes.
Harvey. Class game. Controlled the midfield and the opposition had no answer for his superb skills and intelligent passing.
Lucas. Another all action display. Covered every blade of grass. His energy drives the team forward. Becoming a very important player for us. Another superb assist.
Harrison. Has added defending to his forward play! Never gave their defence a seconds rest. Some superb attacking runs and another poachers goal.

The boys really did themselves proud today. They worked as team when defending or attacking and got a great result against a very strong team. In truth any of them could have got man of the match but the parents voted for tyler. Well done boys.
