Home league match played on 12 October 2014.
Kicked off at 1:00 PM

City against Los Guerreros. It was 4-1 in the previous encounter but City fresh from topping the table of PowerZ Cup Group B hoping results will go in favour of their way after their 4-1 dismal defeat at the hands of Woodlanderz which saw them knocked off top spot and automatically out of the title race.

A win would only put pressure on their rival title contenders who have 2-3 games in hand.

Weloming back key players such as Duncan, Ahmad and Aleef but still missing the likes of Fred, Gabir and Riz, City deployed 4-4-2 formation which featured Van Der Min in goal. Xavier returns at right back, Aleef partner Eddy at centre defence, while captain of the match Hafiz found him in the most unusual position of left back in dispense of Aziz. In midfield Anon restored at right wing while his comrade Ahmad on the left with Indra and Duncan occupying the centre. Upfront a reunited partnership of Ryan and Ridwan. On the bench, City only have Aziz and newly re-signed player Syam Arifin.

City were rather lax in their approach to the game but opened the scoring in the 14th min. Captain Hafiz saw a great run from Ridwan who broke opponent's offside trap and with only the goalkeeper to beat, he unselfishly squares it to Ryan who needs a second shot from the initial rebound to put City infront.

Ahmad had a couple of decent opportunities to put City infront but failed to capitalize after great display of passing from Duncan and Indra.

City piled on the pressure and soon found themselves two goals ahead when their custodian misjudged Indra deflected shot in the 36th min.

Halftime score: City 2 Guerreros 0.

Second half, Ridwan brought on Syam for his return debut and Aziz for Xavier.

9 mins into the restart, City went further ahead when their 2 wingers combined capping an excellent team move. Attacking down the left flank, Ahmad jinks past 2 defenders before squaring for Anon who finishes with a simple tap in.

Eddy had a couple of decent chances as well but shots went wide and high.

It was soon well over 2 minutes when City added a 4th through Syam who capitalized on a poor backpass by slotting it past the goalkeeper.

Anon went close in adding his second when his venomous shot rattles Guerreros goal.

Guerreros then pulled a goal back from an excellent direct freekick which gave Van Der Min no chance at all. 4-1.

City had multi chances but seems to take things to easy. And when opportunity rises, Eddy was the creator this time as his cross, somehow found his way past the pack backline with Ridwan toe poking it into the back of the net, 5-1.

It was never over, again Eddy was the provider when he found Syam who finishes off from inside the box to make the final scoreline 6-1.

Ridwan commentes," It was an amazing result. The lads have put a lot of effort and their contribution was stupendous. It great to see Syam back in City colours and by coming back and scoring 2, there's nothing you can ask for more. We knew we have the 3 points even before the kick off but we tend to switch off at times but the lads recovered quickly and i guess there's an outside chance of us grabbing something from the league. The championship is beyond our grasp but we hope for the best that results from other games would change all the scenario once again. We will keep fighting till we are mathematically out of it."
