On the morning of 8 March 2026, Corinthian Casuals U12 travelled to Sandhurst Memorial Park to face Bracknell Town FC Youth U12 Reds in a league away fixture kicking off at 9:30am. The nine-a-side contest finished emphatically in favour of the visitors, with Corinthian Casuals securing a commanding 5–1 victory after a dominant performance across the 60 minutes of play plus added time.
Corinthian Casuals lined up in a 3-4-1 formation. Albie Safarty started in goal, protected by a defensive trio of Thomas Albuquerque on the right, Freddy Horwood centrally, and Alfie Vine on the left. Notably, Thomas was playing slightly out of position as a right centre-back, adapting well to the defensive role.
The midfield quartet consisted of Fraser Ross on the right flank, Archer Edwards and Harvey O’Connor in central midfield, and Cooper Lund on the left. Leo Bradley led the line as the lone striker. Lourenço Afonseca was named as the team’s sole substitute.
The visitors began the match with real intensity and purpose. Corinthian Casuals created several early opportunities and could easily have taken the lead within the opening minutes, producing at least three clear chances before the home side found the breakthrough. Against the run of play, Bracknell Town Reds opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a close-range finish inside the box to make it 1–0.
The response from Corinthian Casuals was immediate. Just one minute later, Leo Bradley equalised following a short pass from Archer Edwards, finishing calmly from close range to bring the score back to 1–1.
Shortly afterwards, in the 18th minute, Corinthian Casuals made their first substitution as Lourenço Afonseca replaced Alfie Vine in defence, maintaining the team’s defensive structure while refreshing the back line.
The visitors soon turned their growing momentum into goals. In the 27th minute, Freddy Horwood produced a superb direct free-kick, striking the ball with precision and power to give Corinthian Casuals a deserved 2–1 lead. Just two minutes later, the advantage was extended when Leo Bradley struck again. After receiving a long pass from Fraser Ross, Bradley controlled well before firing beyond the goalkeeper from outside the area.
Corinthian Casuals went into the half-time break firmly in control at 3–1. Alfie Vine returned to the pitch at the start of the second half, replacing Lourenço Afonseca.
With the restart came a tactical adjustment that saw Thomas Albuquerque push forward into a right-wing role, adding pace and width to the attack.
The visitors continued to press their advantage and were rewarded again in the 39th minute when Leo Bradley completed his hat-trick. The goal came from an excellent move down the right side, where Thomas delivered a dangerous cross into the box. Cooper Lund rose to meet it with a header, directing the ball across goal for Bradley to finish from close range.
Corinthian Casuals continued to dominate the game, creating numerous further chances but failing to convert several clear opportunities that could have extended the lead even further.
A notable reshuffle occurred in the 48th minute when goalkeeper Albie Safarty had to leave the field feeling unwell. Harvey O’Connor stepped into the goalkeeper role for the remainder of the match. Fraser Ross returned to the field as striker, Leo Bradley moved to the right wing, and Thomas Albuquerque shifted into central midfield as the team reorganised.
Despite the positional changes, Corinthian Casuals maintained their attacking momentum and control of the game.
The final goal arrived in the 62nd minute when Cooper Lund found the net from close range. After receiving a short pass from Fraser Ross inside the box, Lund finished confidently to seal a comprehensive 5–1 victory for the visitors.
A crowd of approximately 80 spectators witnessed a strong and disciplined performance from Corinthian Casuals, who controlled large spells of the match after conceding the early goal and continued to create chances throughout.
Cooper Lund was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance on the left side of midfield, contributing significantly to the team’s attacking play and scoring the final goal. Combined with Leo Bradley’s hat-trick, Freddy Horwood’s superb free-kick, and a relentless team work rate across the pitch, Corinthian Casuals secured a well-deserved three points on the road.
