Score Crawley Panthers 5 Polegate Grasshoppers 0

Crawley Panthers under 14’s Blue sponsored by S&N Tyres entertained Polegate Grasshoppers in the 2nd round of the Sussex County Cup and yet again did not disappoint, maintaining their 100% start to the season in all competitions.

A 10th minute corner from captain Brendan Milborrow found MOM Jake Truelove who powerfully headed home from the edge of the six yard box. Seven minutes later Panthers doubled their lead with an exact replica of the first goal involving the same two players, again with Truelove finding the net from a Milborrow corner.

The visitors had no answer to Panthers domination causing defenders Ben Rogers, Sam Truelove, Jake Truelove, Will Bateup and keeper Robbie Legg few problems during the first half.
Jordan L’etendrine, current leader in the Mid Sussex League golden boot ratings continued his scoring spree by latching on to Jobe Wolfe's pass to slot home from close range after 22 minutes.

The second half saw Panthers have a goal disallowed for off side before Seika Jatta netted his sixth in three games seven minutes after the restart.
Panthers become sloppy and allowed Grasshoppers back into the game, but without really being threatened. Edwin Murahwa and Adam Ceschin ensured the forwards were well supplied and were instrumental in finding Jermaine Beer who fed L’etendrine allowing him to grab his second of the game with a mazy run, finally rounding the keeper to calmly place the ball in the bottom left hand corner.

Five wins out of five, 43 goals scored, two conceded, oh happy days!

Team: Robbie Legg, Ben Rogers, Sam Truelove, Jake Truelove, Will Bateup, Edwin Murahwa, Seika Jatta, Adam Ceschin, Brendan Milborrow, Jordan L’etendrine, Jermaine Beer
