WELL DONE YOU BLUES WE ARE IN THE CUP FINAL!!!

MID SUSSEX LEAGUE UNDER 14’s LEAGUE CUP SEMI FINAL

SOUTHDOWN ATHLETIC 0.  CRAWLEY PANTHERS 4

For the third time this season Panthers who are sponsored by S & N Tyres of Three Bridges met Southdown Athletic, who yet again made it hard for the blues, and this was in addition to the muddy pitch and just 12 available players to contend with.

Panthers took control of the game from the start and reduced the home team to long shots which were dealt with superbly by keeper Robbie Legg.

The constant pressure finally paid off after 12 minutes when a lovely flighted corner from Eddie Murahwa found Jermaine Beer who placed the ball beyond the marking defender and keeper.

5 mintes later Jordan L’etendrine latched onto a Jobe Wolfe back header, out muscled team mate Beer and calmly stroked in Panthers second. The remainder of the half and the first 20 minutes of the second turned into a midfield scramble with both teams having chances without looking dangerous with scores or miss placed passes.

Panthers stepped up several gears allowing L’etendrine to receive the ball close to the corner flag, jinked his way through what appeared to be several Southdown players, dummied the keeper and rolled in his second of the game.

Panthers defence held firm with Alex Hardy playing his first game slotting in nicely alongside MOM Will Bateup both aided by fellow defenders Ben Rogers and Sam Truelove.

Midfield ball winners Hayden Bulloch and Jean Moutein provided cover for the defence and support to the attack. This pairing linked up to produce a corner from which Seika Jatta found Beer who repeated his first effort by poking home his second and Panthers fourth.

Jordan L’etendrine will be joining up with Chelsea after next week's county cup quarter final game but will be available for the Mid Sussex cup final also Seika Jatta will be at Chelsea in the summer for a trail after both impressed the watching scout who made his third visit of the season to watch Panthers.

Team: Robbie Legg, Ben Rogers, Sam Truelove, Will Bateup, Edwin Murahwa, Hayden Bulloch, Alex Hardy Seika Jatta, Jean Moutein, Jordan L’etendrine, Jermaine Beer, Jobe Wolfe.
