Home league match played on 27 February 2016.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

Outstanding performances by everyone involved.

The first half hour was characterised by niggling fouls and misplaced passes from the away team, with Edenderry controlling the game. There wasn't a single effort on goal until the 20th min when Jamie found Tone, but he shot wide from just outside the box.

But it wasn't long before the home side hit the front. Seafords player Crichlow was dispossessed near the halfway line by Jack who played the ball into Rodge in the right hand channel. His low cross found brother Podge in an abundance of space just six yards out, and the midfielder drilled the ball into back of the net.

On the 39th Jamie Dolan won the ball inside his own half and played a ball out on the wing for fullback Jack who beat two players before releasing Podge down the wing. This time brother Podge turned provider with another ball played onto the box from the right wing for David to drill the ball home from close range.

With Edenderry in total control they were gifted a lifeline late in the first half (40 mins) when Edenderry's keeper Johnny shanked his clearance straight to Seafords Lydon, and teed up strike partner Dolan to pass the ball into the corner of the empty net from 25 yards, as Johnny tried to scrambled back across his goal line after to make up for his error.

Seaford controlled the the ball for much of the first 15 mins for the 2nd half, they scarcely created a single chance of note. Edenderry sealed all 3 points with thirteen minutes to play by making it 3-1. Centre half Mark’s long ball forward was misjudged by Seaford centrehalf , allowing Tone in on goal to slot home from close range.

This is Edenderrys 3rd league win out of 4 games played since the start of 2016. Edenderry have only lost one game at home in the league this season.
