Away league match played on 12 September 2010.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Well what can I say about the new season and life in the “B” league...... Well we started off a little slow, but were working hard trying to get hold of the ball.  Lexden were playing some good football, and we had two hard games against them last season. We were 3-0 down after 25 mins through a lack of concentration and communication, we need to get hold of the ball and either find and pass or (if we need to), just get rid of it out of the box!

But on the half hour mark, a fantastic free kick was whipped into the box by Cameron, and Berbatov (Terrence) volley the ball into the roof of the net, two mins later he had a great shot that the keeper only just got to and pushed it round the post. Half time 3-1

Subs: Matthew and Michael on, Andreas and Jerome off.

We started the 2nd half very well, we were getting the ball down and finding some good passes and after just 5 mins Terrence got his 2nd goal of the game with a great run through the defence and slotted passed the keeper, 3-2.

A cracking free kick from Lexden and they were 4-2 up, but we had our own free kick and on 50 mins Cameron hit a cracking shot from the right wing, and we were back in the game, 4-3, but then the passing stopped, the concentration wasn’t there and we fell asleep abit.....

They scored 3 goals from set pieces and we need to watch the ball and attack it in the air rather than just standing still watching a great cross coming in (call for the ball and make an attempt to get to it)

Final score Lexden Saints 7-3 Elmden, we played well at times, it’s a new league and we might not have to many easy games, but as long as you are  giving your best and trying hard that’s all Jamie and I ask for.  Man of the match was Terrence, Well done
