Home league match played on 19 September 2010.
Kicked off at 2:00 AM

Our 1st home game of the season was against Team Player Youth.

Today’s line up was Curtis in goal, Regan, Lewis W, Antony and Adam in defence, with a midfield of Cameron,  Aean, Ryan and Lewis F, with Terrence and Michael starting up front.

We started well and after only 5 mins Terrence’s shot was cleared off the line by a TPY defender, but he managed to score his 1st of the game only a few mins later when a great pass by Cameron found T, who took it round the keeper and rolled the ball into the empty net.1-0 Elmden.

25 mins sub Ryan and Aean off, Jerome and Andreas on. The game a bit scrappy but both sides were battling well and we finished the half 1-0 up.

Sub Regan off, Luke on

10 mins into the 2nd half and TPY were back in the game after a bit of a goal mouth scramble, 1-1.

We tried to pass the ball around, but were finding it hard, but on 58 mins Terrence got his 2nd goal of the game making it 2-1 to Elmden. After that Antony had a cracking shot that went in the goal and through the back of the net, but both the linesman and referee didn’t give it as a goal.

Curtis made a couple of great saves in the 2nd half as TPY were trying to find an equalizer , and was looking good in goal.

5 mins before the end there was another scramble and defender Lewis W made a great save( with his hand), and TPY thought they should of had a penalty but the lineman had already raised his flag for offside.

Final score Elmden Rovers 2-1 TPY.

We didn’t play the best football today, but were working hard and trying to find some passes, and we have our 1st win of the season which is great, well played today all of you.

Man of the match today was Curtis who made some fantastic saves in the 2nd half to keep us in front and was the reason we wanted him this season, well done.
