Home league match played on 18 April 2010.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Another great win but disappointing overall team performance. There was plenty of action in terms of Flint attacking but a lack of communication throughout the game overall. We need to overcome this quietness and talk to each other, encourage each other.

Lots of chances missed but at least we were not trying to walk the ball in. Fast pace, almost one touch football when we play, almost every time resulted in a goal. We are good at this, running at players, wingers delivering great crosses in, teams cannot cope with this.

The goal is important but the way we get the goal is more important. It has to come from a team move not individuals. Ask yourself how many goals have we scored from switching play or delivering in from the wing. It has to be best part of 80% of the goals this season.

We need to regain the team spirit and passion for the game, being a successful 11 aside team does not work with a team of individuals. It very much has to be a team of players, playing for each other as one unit. Next season is not about the amount of goals, it’s about the 3 points that will win the league.

The team is ready for 11 aside, all be it some training in set pieces and making the off side rule work for us. This is something we will move onto in the summer. (July/August).

Great result boys but let’s work on the communication and passion to play as a team.

Man Match – Shay (Good game, worked hard)

Parents Player – George (Exceptional game, ran the wing well)
