Home friendly match played on 08 March 2014.
Kicked off at 5:00 PM

This week's game was against Getz United. We last beaten them 3-1 on 21 December 2013.

Sendond week in a roll we have last minute dropped out and luckily for us, we have 2 young boys fillling in the keeper and winger role. We had 15 players this week.

We started with the following team:-

Kepper: JP

Defence: Jiunn / SK / Kee / Bee

DM: Lawrence

Midfield: Daryl / Patrick / Yiong / Henry

Striker : Colin

Tha pre-game plan was about tightening up the defensive play and pressing up the pitch.

We normally started the game well. Colin taken his goal well in the 7th mins. Some excellent team moves resulted in him coverting his chance. Due to the lacking of central midfielder, both Patrick and Yiong supported by a half fit Lawrence has to play in the middle for most of the game. Patrick's pesistance, Yiong's hurrying and Lawrence half past harrassing was too strong for the opponent to cope. Bee as usual started well but has to be subsituted in the 5 mins.

JP made a few good saves during the half and we introduced Daniel, another young player on the right wing.

We had a few chances in the half but poor finishings havent caused us the game. We ended the first half leading 1-0.

Half time team talk focus on midfeld winning the ball and passing to the wings to create panic in the opponent defence. The team took the new approached well in this half. the next 5 goals came from excellent wing and link up play.

Colin scored from a Henry cross and the goal was somewhat a fluke. A goal is a goal so good job Colin for being at the right place at the right time.

Patrick scored 2 goals on 72 & 76 mins respectivetly. Daniel was the creator for the first goal. His pace and trickery caused some problesm for their left back. Patrick's second gaol came from a free kick. Daniel scored his first goal for the team after he replaced Colin playing as the lone striker. A crossed came in from the left by Siong was met by Daniel in the 78 mins. Well done young lad. Colin rounded the game with a good strike when playing the AM role in the 82 mins.

There were some concerns with our defensive plays in the second half. We conceded 4 goals which can be totally prevented. The team as a whole has to take responsibily to defend. The defending has to start from the front. There were specific instructions that I wanted the defensive units to play but i understand that its still in transition period. We need to work harder to prevent leaking goals at the back.

The MoM for this game was Patrick. His tirelessly running, pressing, tackling and scoring earned him the accolade. Well done Pat!
