Away cup match played on 25 August 2013.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

30 minutes extra time played.

First round of the JD taxi cup and what a game it turned out to be.
The game started and the tackles were flying in from both side. The first 15 minutes were scrappy with both teams struggling to get hold of the ball. Lumley started to get some rhythm going and the opening goal came on 25 minutes a defence mixed up the ball wasn't cleared and a tidy finish in the bottom corner give Lumley the lead.
The game restarted and Lumley grew in confidence after taking the lead but the shoes kept battling for every ball and working hard to get back into the game. The equaliser came on 35 a soft free kick given away by Lumley 35 yard out was beautifully delivered by Liam oudnie and a towering heading from mark Emerson at the back post made it 1 - 1
The second goal for the hounds came soon after on 40 minutes a copy of the first goal a great free kick delivered by Liam oudnie was met by the head of mark Emerson to make it 2 - 1 half time.
The second half started and the shoes kept the ball well trying to slow the pace of the game. The equaliser game from another defensive mix up a powerful Clearance hit Simon Beaney in the face to power into the back of the net with nothing Beaney could do making it 2 - 2 . The game was played at a fast pace but the shoes created the beat chances Joad hitting the bar and Rob Fenwick unlucky with a chip that went just over the bar. The 90 minutes finished 2 - 2
Extra time kicked off with the shoes looking more likely to score and that's what happened on 100 minutes, some good work by sub Steven Gibson playing the ball into the path of the on running Liam Oudnie who controlled the ball and powered its past the keeper to make it 3-2 at half time of extra time.
The second half of extra time kicked off and Lumley pushed on looking for the equaliser to take it to penalties and that goal nearly came but a brilliant goal line clearance on to the post kept the score 3 - 2  Full time

A great result against a team in the division above should give us confidence going into the next game some great performance notably for Liam oudie and Carl Lee But the whole team played well and the back four looked solid.

Thanks to to lads who came and didn't get on, good to see you getting behind the team that's what it's all about.
