Another home game against a team we underestimated last time.
The game started and I missed the first 15 minutes but the visited got a soft penalty give which was well saved by Carl lee but the follow up was put away making it 1-0
The game restarted and the monk got started winning the aerial battle and starting to get some passes put together. The equaliser came after a good ball played down the line by Liam oudnie to the feet of Dave Wile who ran at his man and was brought down in the box. Another soft penalty give by the ref to be honest but dave picked himself up and cooly slotted the ball home from the spot to make it 1-1.
This give the monk a big lift and the front two of Joad and dave were starting to link up well creating good chances for each other. The best of these chances fell to Dave who got the post with Joad unable to finish the follow up. Half time 1-1
The second half kicked off and the home side took the lead within 5 minutes some excellent build up play the ball was played through to dave by Joad who fired the ball under the on rushing goal Kepler making it 2-1.
To be fair to bowburn they kept on fighting and trying to play football bit the back 4 had an answer to everything that was thrown at them the 3 goal for the home side came on 60 minutes some more good link up with the front 2 dave wile raced on to a through ball and fired into the top corner making it 3-1.And a well deserved hattrick for Dave wile.
The monk controlled the rest of the game and should have scored a few more but some poor finishing(mark Emerson) meant the game finished 3-1
Some really good performances today notable Paul vaudrey at the back and the front 2. But the whole team played well and all 3 subs who came on done a job as well.
