After no match for three weeks Grangetown were eager to get back to business and playing away to the Kingfisher on a perfect day for football. Grangetown Kicked off the match and soon showed the opposition why they won promotion starting off on the right foot getting back to their passing football.

5mins  - GOAL Lawlor gives Grangetown an early lead after a great run in from the left beating two defenders and scoring a great goal after great pass from full back Stuey Roberts.

With Grangetown keeping up the pressure striker Donachie's header is saved from the Kingfisher keeper but two minutes later fellow striker Ruderforth was fouled in the area for Donachie to step up and score from the penalty spot.

Grangetwon now were in their stride and dominated with their passing game not giving Kingfisher much possesion on the ball with Grangetowns Keeper having a quiet game in a one sided affair.

11mins - full back Roberts shoots just wide of the Kingfisher goal after cutting inside and unleasing one of his usual shots.

16mins - Donachie misses after a one on one with the Kingfisher keeper.

22min - Fellow striker Ruderforth see's his striker saved by the opposing keeper.

With Grangetown completely dominating pegging Kingfisher in their own half it would be a matter of time before the floodgates opened and were unlucky not to go further ahead when winger Peter Kelly shoots just wide on the half hour mark.

Four minutes later striker Donachie heads just over from a good corner  by Ruderforth.

Kinggisher came alive for five minutes and Grangetowns keeper Donovan pulls of a great save to deny kingfishers only shot on goal but from the save which was tipped over the Kingfisher won a corner and scored from a header.

This did not dis-hearten the Grangetown team as the soon went back up the pitch and a great through ball from midfielder Ste Scott found Donachie to round the keeper and score his second of the match to go into the interval three  - one up.

Half Time 1 - 3

After a team talk to the lads to remain focused and disciplined Grangetown continued where they left off in the first half and Kelly shoots just wide again.

Grangetown let the ball do the work and it was good to watch the passing football making it hard work for the home team and were rewarded with a goal on the 54th minute when full back Allo Taylor hits the bar line to send in a great cross for Kelly to score with a diving headed.

56mins -  Penalty for Grangetown after Ruderforth is again fouled in the area with his trickery for fellow striker Donachie to step up and completer his Hat-Trick from the penalty spot.

With the Kingfisher not being able to handle tricky forward Ruderforth it was no surprised to see him send in a great cross after beating two defenders only to see Scott just head over the bar on 63mins.

Kingfisher could now not cope with the battering they were recieveing and attack after attack followed and on 67mins Ruderforth was rewarded with a goal after a great pass from Scott.

This then opened the flood gates and a minute later Man-of-the-Match Jamie Lincoln scored a cracking goal outside the area shooting high into the top corner of goal giving the Kingfisher keeper no chance.

The next ten minutes Grangetown kept the passing up with the Kingfisher chasing shadows and striker Donachie scored his fourth of the match after a great through ball by Lincoln.

To get in on the act Donachie was the re-placed by player manager Sy Murkin and to finish the game off Murkin played a great one two with Lincoln who then found Ruderforth to tap in and complete a good all round team performance.
