Greensleeves suffered another defeat at the hands of the Dugout, but it was an improved showing after last weeks debacle.

With no Elliot or Holmesy available, it was always going to be a tough ask to get anything from the game, but Greensleevs started off well, denying their opponents opportunities and looking to break out from the back.

Their work was undone, however, by Steve's Sondicos. He slipped in possession and gave The Dugout a chance that they didn't waste, the ball heading low past Eddie into the corner. Steve will have to make the 2 minute walk into Horsham town centre to upgrade his footwear in the not too distant future. 0-1.

The second goal came shortly after. Greensleeves wasted at least 3 chances to clear and were caught again, making it 2-0 just before the break.

Greensleeves tried to push on in the second half, and looked more like scoring, but were undone on the counter attack, as their striker slotted past Eddie. 0-3.

Eddie made a good save shortly after the goal, to keep the score respectable.

The Boys in Green were back in the game almost soon, however. Steve found Matt, whose attempted pass to Josh was blocked, but it fell back to him to strike into the corner. 1-3.

A bit of pressure was now building, and Josh crashed the post with an absolute pearler of a drive with the 'keeper no where to be seen. Further opportunities were squandered and The Dugout scored again on the break near the end. 1-4.

There was still time for Steve to head wide from Dave's clever corner, but the game ended in disappointing defeat.

MAN OF THE MATCH: No-one excelled themselves, but equally there were no particularly poor performances. Josh grew in stature after a couple of misplaced passes, and tracked his men well throughout. Also unlucky not to get goal of the season.
