Greensleeves got back on track with a confident 3-0 victory against the Underdawgz.

The opening exchanges were very tight, with neither side giving much away.Greensleeves dominated possession but had Eddie to thank on a couple of occasions as he rushed off his line to clear danger.

The Boys in Green took the lead after Elliot was taken out on the edge of the box by the Underdawgz keeper. Instead of forming a wall The Underdawgz formed something that resembled a large doorway, and Matt stroked the ball through the gap and in. 1-0.

Greensleeves started to carve out more chances in the second half, and remained fairly solid at the back, with Josh and Steve getting stuck in in midfield. They extended the lead when the pair combined for the second goal. Josh squared to Steve who finished well. The goal had me singing Cat Steven's 'Father & Son' to myself on the way home. 2-0.

Sam could have added a third shortly after but unselfishly tried to square it.

The Underdawgz started putting a bit more pressure on, but the defence held firm. Eddie was called upon on a couple more occasions, but he maintained the speed off his line, stopping the 'dawgz in their tracks when they created any openings.

As Underdawgz pushed forward Greensleeves started to pick the off on the break. Elliot went close on a couple of occasions, but scored went Matt's through ball found him in acres of space to nutmeg the 'keeper.

It was almost 4-0 in the last minute, has a 20-pass move ended with Steve squaring it to Josh who smashed it wide.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Everyone played well, but Eddie made some important blocks and his distribution was much improved.

STAT OF THE MATCH: Greensleeves' first clean sheet of the season.
