Away league match played on 01 October 2011.
Kicked off at 12:00 PM

This was a fantastic all round team performance from the Jets, as they in the end comfortably beat a strong Yellows team who have beaten earlier in the season the champions of the last two years Forest Hall. So to come away with a 6-1 win is a great result for the boys.  A reward for all their hard work.

We were down to the bare bones with Ben at a wedding and Dom missing once again, while Kyle had been sick in mid week, Dylan not 100% and Ipswich struggling with his left ankle after twisting it in a indoor kick around Friday.  The difference between the two sides was in the finishing, Ethan was simply outstanding leading the line, his finishing was just clinical, two four goal hauls in a row, great striker play.

Ethan tested the keeper in first minute, shot was saved, two minutes later, a good throw from Dylan found Ethan and after a cut back he placed it excellently into the goal. On five minutes Ethan tuned provider, a lovely ball to Kyles who's shot just whistled wide of the goal, a minute later and again so close a corner was not dealt with and I think it was Josh but could be wrong smashed it on to the bar.

A minute later the lead was doubled good play from Josh down the left, a nice ball to Ethan, and this time a really clever delicate finish right into the bottom corner.  Yellows woke up and came right back into the game, Joe & Ipswich strong at the back, while Kieran had to make two excellent saves on 9 and 15 mins.  It was now end to end stuff, as you could see the Jets were struggling in the heat, Dylan, Ethan & Kyle all had shots just going wide of the goal. 2-0 at the break.

This was far from over as the Yellwos looked good going forward, but nerves were calmed on 27mins, when Kyles lovely high ball to Ethan was met first time on the volley, lobbing the keeper perfectly for a great goal.  A few minutes later and the game was taken away from the Yellows, a free kick on about the half way line, didn't look like too much of a threat, but that was not banking on a stunnng long range effort from Kyle, smashed into the box, one bounce over the unlucky keeper and into the net.  Last twenty minutes with a 4-0 lead the fresher legs of the Yellows meant they had a lot more of the game, and Kieran had to make saves on 30, 41, 46,47 & 48 minutes, great keeping.  Jets though were still a threat going forward, on 38 minutes a superb long ball from Joe B to Ethan who made no mistake, confidently striking it home. A minute later and it was 6-0, good work from Dylan and he fed Josh nicely to finish calmly from edge of box.  Josh and Dylan had time to bring out good saves from keeper, while after a great move from the back, Kyle just hit the outside of the post.

Yellows got a deserved goal when a corner was scrambled in, this was hard on Kieran, Joe B & Ipswich who had done superbly at the back.  That was virtually last kick of the game, final score 6-1 to the Jets.  All credit to the lads, after a poor first week, they have come into great form in games two and three, lets keep it going now, Wallsend Community up next.  Like last week, many contenders for Man of the Match.

Kieran - Some great saves, and can see why he got the nod from Tynemouth coach.

Joe B - Come into the side and fitted in so well, a great addition to the team, good blocks, and great distribution from the back, setting up a good goal for Ethan.

Ipswich - Good in the tackle, and distribution superb, struggled with his ankle, but used his footballing head to see himself through.

Kyle - Back from sickness and in the heat was commanding as ever in the middle of the park, stunning goal.

Josh - Lots of good work on the left, and tracked back well, very good display.

Dylan - Also a bit under the weather, despite this got another couple of assists, and went close to scoring.

Ethan - Stunning goals, took his chances really well, giving the keeper no chance. Got the home coaches decision for such a clinical display infront of goal.

WELL DONE ALL THE BOYS, not sure on training probably give it a miss this week.
