Galaxy sent crashing into orbit! The cracking passing football shown during our time at KYPC, is finally paying off with goals, this was a superb all round team performance, well done lads!

Against a big strong hard physical Galaxy side, we stood up to them, and showed what good passing and moving can achieve. The passing in the second half was probably some of the best ever seen from us since forming. Just shows what we are capable of, lets start to believe in ourselves, because we are very good! New recruits of Harry, Dane & Dylan have given us such a strong squad, and all have fitted in so well.

First half, got off to a good start, when Joseph took the short corner to Elliott, who took the ball on and he smashed the ball into the top left off the inside of the bar, super super strike Elliott.  Galaxy did come back into the game, long throws and goal kicks were causing a bit of panic in our defence, wtih Joseph having to make a last ditch sliding tackle, Aaron had to scramble well, while James once again was reading the game superbly.  It was against the run of play when we got our second, when Dane was in the right place again to finish well. A third was soon on the cards as Dylan, Dane & Sam were starting to cause them a lot of problems, this time Sam finishing nicely from a tight angle. 3-0 at half time.

Second half and we had a word with the boys about standing up to them a bit more, and they certainly started to do that with some strong tackling in the middle of the park.  Some great team work between Elliott, Josh, Dane & Dylan led to three more excellent goals, Elliott, Josh & Dane getting them, while we could have had a few more as the ball was passed first time superbly, and into space for people to run on to. Fantastic teamwork, and there was plenty of voices on the field which was good to hear and again proved that we are listening to the coach's.

Galaxy got a consolation when there was a very rare mix up between James & Harry, but both had great games against aggresive and quick galaxy strikers, while Aarons handling was first class, and in the second half, his long kicks were going perfectly down the middle and causing lots of problems. Final goal of the game came in the last minute or so, when Josh cutting in from the right knocked a lovely ball into the area, and the defender just got in front of Dane to unfortunately hit the ball into his own net.  We don't count own goals, so Josh gets credited with that one.  Final score 7-1, with Josh, Elliott & Dane all getting 2 and Sam 1. The race for top scorer over the summer period is hotting up nicely with Elliott & Dane just leading the way with 7 goals each, still all to play for!

Dylan had a great game laying off and passing the ball really well, and showing good battling qualities. Dane, Josh & Sam superb in wide positions, Elliott excellent all over, while Harry, Joseph & James all really strong at the back backed up well when needed by Aaron. Again no man of the match this week, rather give it to the whole team, great jobs, the only way is up, lets keep this form going!
