Home league match played on 29 October 2017.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

What a treat for the fans today. 3 Hamilton lads all going to Hamilton Park forgetting we have moved. 8 lads making their Home debut, 4 lads making their actual debut`s today as the Gaffer quoted- It will be either be a worldy performance today or we will have a few things to work on going forward - be patient with each other ! Well what a weird game the first half was. With a mega gale going against us it allowed Ash to play with the wind. Hamilton seemed intent of making mistakes gifting goals to Ash. 9mins 0v1- The impeccable Nick Izzard making the first -strange one with the ball wind assisted appeared to come at him to quick into his chest, trying to re adjust he slips, gifting the ball to Lee Helier who ran through to score. 15mins 0v2 Free kick to Ash inside there own half - Up steps Bellringer - we should have known what was coming. 60 yard wind assisted - straight in - Un fookin believable !!! What was our keeper thinking? 19 mins- 0v3 Massive keeper error to gift a 3rd goal 23 mins - 0v4 Another long ball releases for me for Ash MOTM Chris Hale who crosses the ball to back post. Hamilton make a hash of the clearence to gift another goal. Game over as far as i`m concerned - 23 mins with Hamilton looking comfortable and in control of the game to being 4 nil down. 41 mins- 1v4 Long throw from Smudger and Sergio Rodriguez leaps to head home 44mins - excellant play once again from Hamilton for Smudger to miss a great opportunity. Half time ; Gaffer wants to change system but the lads convince me to stay the same -its not the system its the mistakes. We all agree to stay the same but we must score in 10 mins all were going to change was the message - we then listen to Ash- celebrating , buoyant at being 4v1 up - That seems enough to galvanize the lads ! The restart - wind drops - bloody typical- no real advantage ! Incredibly we score in first minute to be ruled against us for handball- right call just strange how the ref reached his decision. This seemed to raise us even more. 47mins- Constant attack and Andrius Miliskevicius off of a very clever Hassall cross scores with a header. 50mins- 2v5 Against the run of play Ash get up field cross the ball for the Hamilton keeper to make a grave misjudgement in the flight of the ball - Goal 53mins- 3v5 Smudge from Hassall Goal It really is all Hmailton 71 mins- 4v5 Smudger agian from Long range Goal 79mins - 5v5 James Osborne from a delightful chip from Owen Lindsay Goal Could this really be happening ?? 82 mins- 6v5 With the constant pressure and balls into the box Hamilton launch another attack -Andrius Miliskevicious heads the ball goal bound - going in all the way until Ellicott unfortunately puts his leg out to deflect the ball into the net - so unlucky for the lad. What a game, what a performance - we can only grow from this. Lots of lessons learnt today from the pitch to what players are all about - What a future for Hamilton Move of the game - Osborne overhead kick - deserved a gaol - cleared off the line MOTM today - Ryan Hassall Special mention to Ash - left the changing rooms spotless. Also huge respect to Dave Whelan- really appreciate the chat after the game - a true GENT. Good luck for the season Ash
