Away cup match played on 09 January 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Finaly after 5 weeks of trying and 7 weeks without a game we got our pompey cup game away to Fluer de lys A played.

On a boggy pitch we set out with a 4-4-1-1 formation with sam toby and ryan s on the bench.

We got off to a flyer setting the pace from the get go with the fluers defence unable to handle max wilson pace and within the 1st min a great through ball from are captain lewis set max clean through to slot home the opener and get the ball rolling.

Staying in complete control we son found ourselves 3-0 ahead by the 7th min with lewis grabbing a 4 min brace 1st on 3mins he slotted home a goal mouth scramble and then on the 7th min a great defence splitting pass from kieron set lewis away to calmly slot home.

To give all players a proper run out we made 3 changes on 15 mins 1st ryan s replaced cameron sam replaced ollie and toby replacing smithy.

Max was giving the flures defence problem after problem down the right hand side and on the 16th min he grabbed his 2nd of the game finishing well from a kieron pass to make it 4-0 then after grabbing a couple of assists kieron had a chance in the 20th min to make it 5 from the spot after alfie was brought down in the box but finding it hard to see the spot in the mud he dragged his shot which tamley went into the keepers arms but just 2mins later in the 22nd min a great solo run from alfie skipping passed not 1 not 2 but 3 players he struck a shot into the top corner to finaly grab his first goal for the club.

Then just before the break in the 30th min kieron made up for his penalty miss by slotting home are 6th of the day from a great toby ball setting us in at half time a comphtable 6 goals to the good.

Half time we made another 3 changes  with ollie replacing ryan n smithy replacing jack and cameron replacing max wilson.

We didnt start the second half well thinking the game was all but over we took are foot off the peddle trying to do everything on are own forgetting the passing game and team work losing the ball and creating little if any chances and in the 39th min we were punished by a pumped up flures team losing out to a through ball there striker beat billy at the near post wipping out a clean sheet.

We started to finaly realise the gamw was far but over with the goal waking us up and in the 40min we hit straight back with a great bit of play down the right kieron found ryan s in space in the box picking him out with a cross in which he calmly tapped home to make it 7-1 and then just a few mins later kieron made it 8-1 in the 43rd min after a great burst from defence by sam his shoot was deflected into the path of kieron to tap home from the back post.

Another 3 changes were made on 45mins with jack replacing lewis max replacing kieron and ryan n replacing charlie.

After getting a hat-rick against his former club last time around in the league cameron was looking to add to that and with alot of persistance he grabbed a late brace first in the 50th min a great run found himself open in the box to scramble home to make it 9-1 and then with time running out in the 59th min a great bit of skill by max wilson set himself free to wip in a great cross for cameron to be the 4th player to grab himself a brace to make it 10-1 and finish the game off with a well worked goal.

It was a great all round team performance and could of been more than 10 but due to a muddy pitch at times found it hard to finish moves off aswell as ryan s and kieron hitting the post and the flures keeper making a few good saves.

It was hard to call man of the match as everyone put in a great match performance and did there jobs well so man of the match went to alfie for grabbing his 1st goal for the club it was the only way we could decide and hopefully there is many more to come.

Well done lads a great team performance keep it up am proud of you all.
