Home league match played on 20 November 2011.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

Was another home game 3rd in a row and this time was the return fixture with Pompey Pirates who had already put the wind up us once already this year as we scrapped through with a 3-1 win away from home.

The unlikely thought of us falling into the same trap as our last game with the oposition soon became obvious as we started very poorl giving away the ball in midfield as we lacked that extra bit of confidence we normaly have, be it the boys having the wrong attitude or just the fact Pompey Pirates got in our faces from the kick off, what ever it was it had a massive effect on the way the game went.

We soon bowed to the pressure with there striker and winger coursing us all kinds of problems using the long ball they soon found themselves 1-0 ahead on 5 mins with a ball played over Josh's head there striker managed to get on the end of it and poke it passed Billy then as our heads hit the floor we took our mind off the game and switched off from a corner they soon found themselves in an unkukely 2-0 half time lead.

We made one change after 25mins with Kieron replacing Smithy who had taken a boot to the face although we all know how tough he is and that it wouldnt keep him out, then on half time BK replaced Charlie and Ollie replaced Sam to try and tighten up some of the free space being found in are final 3rd.

We did start the 2nd half with a much better attitude, the hunger looked like it was back but the free flowing football we normaly play was still not there how ever we got ourselves back into the game just after the break with Zack doing what he has all season smashing in a screamer against his former club, then Jack who up until this point had a very quiet game in midfield popped up the scramble home the equaliser after a goal mouth scramble, that seemed to give us the momentom to go on and get the winner and we looked like we had snatched the win in the 55th min Ollie who had made a big difference since coming on made a brilliant solo run down the right passing not just one or two but three Pirates to put in a pin point cross to Jack to head home what looked like the winner putting us 3-2 ahead.

But just as we looked home and dry we conceded a corner from a ball given away cheaply in the Pirates box and switching off yet again from a set peice the ball avaded every player until it kindly fell to an unmarked Pirate who took a touch and slotted home to end the game 3-3 and end are 100% start to the season.

It wasnt a great team performance, the attitude was wrong and the free flowing football from the previous week was obviously left at home, but credit to Pirates for pushing us all the way and credit goes to the lads for never giving up and coming back from 2-0 down, with a little bit more composure infront of goal and abit more consentration at the back from set peices we could of and maybe should of won the game, but a draw is not a lose and the lads can only build, learn and move on from a result like this.

Man of the match was hard due to everyone in there own ways having a poor game not just indervidualy but also as a team it just never came off today but for him being the most consistant over the course of the game the award went to Cameron.
