Away league match played on 03 October 2010.
Kicked off at 12:00 AM

On a rainy day we set out to take on Fleur De Lys A at Drayton Park with most people thinking it wouldnt go ahead due to the heavy rain.

Starting with a 4-5-1 with cameron spearheading are attack against his and ryan n former club going out full of confidence and looking to shoot down his old team mates.

We finaly hit the hights we have been looking for starting off the game strongley putting Fleurs under instant pressure, closing down winning all 50-50 balls aswell as playing some brilliant football passing are opponents off the pitch.

It only took 3mins to take advantage of are domanace in the early stages with cameron slipping through an inch perfect ball to max who calmly slipped the ball past the keeper to put us 1-0 ahead.

We had the game in our control from there on domanating the midfield snapping at the heels of any fleurs player in possesion breaking up play and working together as a well organised team and on 11mins josh picked up a lose ball on the edge of the area taking one touch to set himself he smashed the ball high over the keepers head to make it 2-0.

That soon became 4-0 with two goals in as many mins first with cameron following onto a well hit ollie strike to make it 3-0 on 14mins sending out a message to everyone with a kiss of the hawks badge and then on 16mins the ever impressive smithy latched onto a loss ball just inside the box to smash home to make it 4-0.

We continued to create chance after chance with cameron kieron josh toby and smithy all going close to making it 5-0 and then with the game heading to half time cameron gambled on a miss kick from the goal keeper setting himself clear through on goal he calmly slipped home to make it 5-0 on 29mins.

Not alot was needed to be said at half time as the lads had done all the talking on the pitch and the message was to just keep it going and continue to play the same way as we did in the first half.

As we did in the first half we came out flying again in the second half and within 4second half mins we had put areselves 8-0 ahead with some great play turning defence into attack in the blink of an eye with toby slotting home from a kieron pass on 32mins to make it 6-0 then just a min later toby repaid kierons assist to flick on a smithy ball which fell kindly to kierons feet one touch and it was 7-0 on 33mins swifty we were back on the attack again with lewis breaking up a fleurs attack laying the ball off to smithy who put it on a plate for toby to slot home in the 34th min to make it 8-0 and get his secong in as many mins.

Max was then replaced by jack after taking a knock to his ankle in the 35th min and soon followed by ryan s replacing josh to join cameron upfront to make are formation a 4-4-2.

In turn to the changes we soon switched off for the first time in the game and boy did it cost us with the next 10mins being a very one sided game in favour of fleurs who first won a free kick from a jack challange on the edge of the box with the wind in there favour a well hit strike was saved by billy but unfortunaly spilt into the path of the fleurs striker to make it 8-1 after 39mins then taken completly by supprise in the 40th min are defence switched off to let a fleurs striker shot from distance into the bottom corner to make it 8-2.

The game soon became a little scrappy with both teams losing possesion in midfield coursing themselves all sorts of problems and in the 50th min fleurs won anther free kick just outside the box which was struck sweetly into the top corner leaving billy with no chance and then in the 51st min a scrappy bit of play in our own box failing to clear our lines kierons tackle was judged to of been reckless and the ref awarded a penalty which was taken well to half the score and make it a more nervy 8-4 with a little under 10mins to go.

As the rain continued to pour down we needed to get a firm grip again of the game with jack looking a little off pace and leggy due to his recent illness he was replaced by josh on 52mins and on 54mins with max shacking off a knock to his ankle replaced toby with ryan playing as a lone striker droping cam back into midfield to help plug the holes being left and on 55mins cameron went on a great run taking on there defence cutting inside to brilliantly smash home across the helpess keeper to make it 9-4 and to complete his hatrick which put a big smile on his face.

We still had chances in the last 5mins to get into double figures with kieron smithy n cameron all going close but that was soon to be that with there ref blowing the full time whistle to put an end to the game and seal an impressive win leaving us top of the league on goal difference.

However the 4 goals we conceded did slightly sour the win slightly as we lost are heads for 10mins and were punished for forgetting to play as a team getting a little goal greedy but we learn from our mistakes and will bounce back as we are a very strong team with alot of character and with two players in alfie and sam still to come in and strengthen our squad.

Man of the match went to cameron for his outstanding performance and his hatrick it was a great way to end a game against his former team.

Keep it going lads your hard work in training is starting to pay off
