Home league match played on 06 November 2011.
Kicked off at 12:00 PM

This was our first of 4 home games vs Gosport Fc who we had already played this season running out easy 7-0 victors, however if we thought it was going to be another easy 3 points we were mistaken.

You could seen Gosports game plan from the get go, it was be physical, get in there faces and just dont let them settle and to be honest they did it very well giving Olly and Kieron a head ache down our left hand side.

But with all there possesion and our sloopy play it was us who took an early lead with Zack turning to shot from 20 yards it was not the most powerful shot, kicking the turf as he struck for goal but the keeper misread the bounce diving over the ball, just to helplessly watch it trickle over the line to make it 1-0 on 4mins, that soon within a couple of mins became 2-0 yet again another mistake from the Gosport defence and with the keeper spilling a weak effort from Max it was just left upto Zack who was in the right place to tap home his second to make it 2-0 on 6mins.

It was not to be the end of it though with Gosport becoming the better of the two sides we were completely out of sorts all over the field and it was left down to Billy to make a few very good stops aswell as some last ditch defending with both Charlie and Bobby Kerri throwing themselves infront of shots, we were just lucky to still have our 2-0 lead heading into the last 5mins of the first half.

But as they say if you dont take your chances you will get punished and on 25mins thats what we did, Smithy played a great one two with Kieron down the left with Kieron cutting inside the box he smashed a shot across goal where it took a nick of the defender and bobbled its way into the far corner, it was harsh on Gosport but gave us some needeed breathing space heading into the break 3-0 ahead.

The second half started very even with Gosport strating to tire and the Hawks strating to wake up but still not be able to settle into any kind of rythem it became a slow dull and eventless second half.

Alfie replaced a tired Kieron at half time and Josh being replaced by Ryan.

Jake replaced Zack on 40mins along with Sam replacing Charlie.

There was time to wrap up the points though with two great efforts first from smithy who opened himself up just inside the box to drill home our 4th on 34mins then in the 50th min Jack in very much the same fasion as Smithy did earlyer smashed home into the roof of the net to make it 5-0 and seal the win.

There was just enough time for Kieron, Charlie, Josh and Zack to come back on with 5mins remaining as it had not been a great performance by neone today they replaced Cameron, Bobby kerri, Jack and Max.

Man of the match went to Smithy along with his goal he was the stand out player in midfield probly the only one to throw himself into every 50/50 ball, but we all know thats jkust the kind of player Smithy is tough and resilient.

Lets up our game though lads as next week wont be so easy to win when your not at your best.
