Home league match played on 06 September 2015.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

How to make an impression! Heddon St Andrews kicked off their 2015/16 campaign with an emphatic 16-0 victory over the Adam & Eve. Dubbed the league favourites after their performance in the Clayton Cup Heddon sent a message loud and clear to the league that they have arrived. Dave Green set his stall out early picking one of the strongest sides Heddon has seen with quality all over the pitch and a formidable looking bench. Not to mention the Hexham Courants favourite frontman still unavailable by doctors orders and more worrying by future wife's orders!! Now where do we start with the goals. All of the goals were well worked goals but the stand out goal of the day was not a tackle by Mark Richardson but Sean Hownams hat trick goal which was a really well worked goal.

Sean Hownam 3 Mark Murtagh 2 Richard Harrison 2 Jonathan Wood 2 Michael Connelly 2 Scott Liam Flynn 2 Rob Howorth 1 Ross Bailey 1 Mark Richardson 1 Man of the match Ross Bailey was closely matched by the intensity of Woody and Dan Fleming but it shows how well ginger Dan Gosling played when Sean Hownam who set up 6 and scored 3 didn't pick up the award.

Hexham Courants other player to watch Mark Murtagh certainly proved that today with a performance that you couldn't take your eyes off because of his uncertainty shall we say in front of goal! He also suffered a 3D after his first goal. Heddon sit top of league! But we go again we do not let this slip we go to Hayden Bridge and keep the form going! Howay the Heed.
