Heddon come from 2 behind to win 5-3

Despite dominating the game for large portions, especially early, 2 defensive mistakes allowed Prudhoe to take a 2-0 lead against the run of play. Getting one back before half time with a creamer from Sean, as long as we took some of the chances we created, it felt like a matter of time before we went on to win.

There were many positives from the game, Walker scored another hatrick, Sean played well in MIDFIELD despite a nagging hamstring, Murta got 4 assists in a return to form and the midfield remain dominant as has been the key over the last few weeks. The way we are passing the ball at the moment is an absolute joy to behold, our work rate is bang up where it needs to be following a disastrous preseason.

On a negative standpoint we are conceding too many goals. In dividual error need to be cut out and we need to talk more as a team to make sure the structure of our defence as a team is where we want it to be.

With us playing so well it’s hard to give some lads game time with the way the lads who are holding the spots are playing at the moment, it’s something that we'll try and rectify over the coming weeks. Remember no one walks onto this team, with the competition for places we now have, once you have your place and play well you keep it, regardless of who you are or how long you have been here. can’t be any fairer than that as a management team.

quick one liners for everyone:

Dave - Prick stick rooted to own line. megged for first two goals, hasn’t made a save in 2 games barely despite conceding 5! loving that wads are back next week

Ramma - despite 120 mins Saturday was as good as ever and moving to centre half was as easy as we expect it to be.

Cieran - Once sorted out his positional sense (it’s been months since he last played) was spot on - great on the ball as per and even managed to not get booked!

Joe - Man of the match last week, no sleep this week. Girl from town still in his car - good for 60 minutes until his legs went. Sober Joe is a baller!

Scoobs - Rock as always but a few Titus moments in there (first goal scream for that ball!) other than that never in trouble. Gave their best player a dead leg!

Flem - continues his excellent start to the season. Tireless off the ball and quality on it. Shooting back to standard - woeful!

Ross: back into centre mid and not hungover and ran the show in there. Should have scored at least 1 more. Mint defensively in last 10

Sean: Mom and all good play went through him it seemed. Great goal

Richie - spot on, work rate excellent and had the full backs life all game. Needs to make better decisions in final third but few complaints today.

Murta. 4 assists, no need to say more. Unlucky not to get MOM. Don’t try and take the team on yourself though Murts! :-)

Walker: 3 goals, Standard, could have had 5. Link up play vital to team passing. Still as moody as ever - poor Ritchie gets the brunt!

Neil - Solid on and off the ball. spot on

Will - Needs to get fit fast! but will be a great addition. Subject of a horror tackle but also missed an open goal..... he's a mackem don’t you know?

kieran - great addition to the management team despite a little bit of a rocky start (he lost 8 in a row)!
