Away league match played on 29 October 2011.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

Our First outing in the league on the road and spririts were high, a new formation on paper with our strongest looking squad. Even with our Usual Captain off in America for 3 weeks

Some management rotation this week ment Heasman and Bavvo took a rest and were warming the bench. We arrived to an absolutely stunning looking pitch... Well done Groundsmen

The ref blew to start the game (Arsenal went 3 2 up) we started okay knocking the ball about and "Having a look" at our opposition, a couple of surging runs from Nick and Conway opening them up.

Langleyburies first attack down the right saw a shot saved from Griff. The ball was cleared and broke to their midfield some good work down the right saw a cross come in and they went 1 0 up.... sleepy defending

Heads stayed up and we continued to probe and husstle with some great work from the midfield 3, Sean ,Ben and Lee. Nick and Steve getting some room down the wings and setting off on some great runs.

Our first Breakthrough came on 15 Mins... presure from Sean and Warren released Lee to win the ball and make it 1 1

We continued to boss the midfield and slightly struggle at the back. We gave away a free kick to which they took the lead again on 20 mins 2 1

5 Mins later we were level a great through ball from Lee put benji thought to equalise - great celebration Ben 2 2

The game coninued to flow back and forward and some good work from "OSSIE" Langleyburies playmaker down the right saw them take the lead 3 2

Not to be outdone, our Playmaker HITCH smashed a clerance/misshit/pass to release Nick and we were back on terms just before HALF TIME 3 3

Half Time Team talk consisted of " Come on Boys we are playing well just tighten up at the back"

For the first 10 mins of the second half we managed to do this well creating chances fro Nicak and Warren to put us in the lead for the first time - some good saves from their keeper kept the scores level.

Then came the moment all Keepers hate (As an EX keeper i know exactly how it feels) a cross came over and griff comanding his 6 yard box catches and SHIT it squirms free 4 3 Langleybury

We make some changes to strengthen the Midfield and Defence - some legs were gone

Hease for Hitch Bavvo on For Lee

We continue to push for the equaliser, Nick sets off down the Left he beats 1 he beats 2 and a third " Cross it is the shout from the stands" it goes in and Probert is at the back post unmarked to smash home the 4th for Shooters - Great Goal 4 4

Warren (Ill score every Game) Davies beats 3 players and is through on Goal - just the keeper to beat - Hes on his right - "Just side Foot it".. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO the outside of his left boot and it goes narrowly wide

We make our final Sub Duff coming on for Ben in midfield He simply had nothing Left.....

And on 85 Mins as Cruel as football can be... the ref gives a free kick FOR NOTHING... Griff Sets his wall and OSSIE smashes it into the bottom Corner 5 4 Langleybury

Heads go down! give up! trudge off the park! ...... NOT SHOOTERS we battled and probed and had 3 great chances to get the equaliser and even win it The first from DUFF saved on the line, The Second from Bavvo cleared from the box and the Thrisd fell again to DUFF but no Cigar this time boys... THE REF BLOWS FOR FULL TIME

What a great performance and you should all be proud to have been a part of it. Everyone looked like they enjoyed it.

As Mick McCarthy said " You dont always get the outcome that you deserve"
