Home league match played on 11 September 2010.
Kicked off at 11:15 AM

Unfortunatley this game was a friendly and the game will show on the EMJFL website as a 2-0 win for Heyside.

It seems that most weeks we start off very slow and sluggish taking too much time to get our shape and balance and this game was no different, but after 6 mins we finally got into our stride using the wings and finding space.TSC were also showing that their result last week must have been a blip and were going to be no pushovers.

Eventually we got a grip on the game and with a long ball out from defence by Josh O' Neil, Josh Parker collected the ball passed it infield to Josh King and with quick thinking found Adam Ford in space another quick touch laid it into Luke Caseys path and he smashed the ball into the net to make it 1-0.

A mix up with a back pass and the referee gave a free kick to TSC, their striker ran up to the ball and it whistled past Harry Allen to make it 1-1.

Lots of good defending by Liam Brown and Josh O' Neil and some smart saves by Harry Allen stopped TSC from taking a shock lead. Then Heyside started to take control of the game with Hayden Smith and Alex Williams linking up the play with Luke Casey bossing the midfield like he did the week before.

A succession of attacks and corners came and it if wasn't for the superb TSC goalkeeper the game would have been out of reach before half time.

A deluge of chances came with the cross bar being hit and shaved and the post being clipped numerous times, eventually the next goal came..Alex williams crossed the ball in from the left the goalkeeper scrambled for the ball but there was the ever alert Luke Casey to tap in just before half time 2-1.

Half Time Score - Heyside Jnrs A 2 TSC United A 1.

Not long into the 2nd half and another goal came, the midfield broke up an attack and Alex Williams went on a mazy run and hit a rocket into the corner of the goal. 3-1.

Everyone was getting on the ball now and with gaps appearing TSC looked like they had now run out of steam.

Some great passing and moving off the ball had TSC all over the place, Adam ford picked up the ball outside the area and hit a stunner past the flailing arms of the keeper...it was hard luck on the keeper as he had such a fantastic game. 4-1.

Next up to get on the score sheet was Josh King who again from outside the area hit a sweet shot with his left foot which nestled nicely in the back off the goal. 5-1.

The referee started to put his whistle to his mouth so it was going to be one last attack and the end for TSC.

Josh Parker who had been unlucky not to be on the score sheet earlier drifted in from the right hand side, jinked his way past the defenders and cracked the ball to right hand side of the goalie. 6-1.

Final Score - Heyside Juniors A 6 TSC United A 1.

A fantastc result once again with some great goalkeeping from Harry, stout defending by Josh N and Liam, tireless work by Alex Hayden and Josh P in midfield and some great attacking play up front by Josh K and Adam.

Man Of The Match - Hayden Smith.
