Honest Lawyer 2-1 Kings Head

Hard working Honest beat Kings Head with a gutsy performance from everyone on the field of play.

The game started in good fashion some nice passing and move from both teams... but after Brad turned the Kings Head left back he was hacked down and won a free kick 35 yards from goal, Brad took the free kick himself and scuffed his set piece into the group but fortunately catching the Kings Head defence flat footed, Chapo raced on to it but could only flick it past the onrushing keeper for Troy to tap into a open net for his 2nd goal in as many games.... 1-0 to the Honest.

Honest was doing well and dominating play Brad played threw a beautiful through ball for Chapo to run onto and as he attempted to loft the keeper he got a hand to it but the ball looped down and was going in only for the Kings head keeper to recover and get back on his line and tip the ball over his bar.

Honest were then made to pay for there missing and after Tom Crellin was put through he slid the ball easily past the onrushing Honest goalkeeper and into the bottom corner

1-1

Kings Head were starting to get into the game now and some gutsy defending and quick counters that unfortunately didn't come off Kings Head did well to come into half time with the score only 1-1

Honest went out there with everything to play for and you could tell from everyone's determination that they wanted it more than there Kings Head counterparts, five minutes into the second half Honest made a change, Harry on for John into centre midfield to counter act the pace Kings Head had going forward.

Change paid dividends as Harry and Horrop started to run the midfield allowing Troy space on the Left to use his pace, Jordan Barber had put a shift in and you could see he was starting to fade out the game so the decision was made for AJ to come on for Barber after 60 mins, straight after the sub was made there was a chance for honest lawyer and after the keeper spilled a shot the ball fell to Chapo two yards out and an open goal, Paul Shaw was already jumping up in the air to celebrate as Chapo hit the ball wide with his left foot, A let off for Kings Head, But it wasn't long before The substitution made by the Honest Management Team paid dividends after Chapo received the ball just inside the Kings Head half he sprayed the ball out to AJ on the right who with his first touch took the ball into the area, his second was a bit heavy but the Kings Head keeper hesitated and AJ was able to beat him to the ball toe poking it threw the onrushing keepers legs and into the back of the net.

2-1 Honest

Kings head were starting to get more into the game so Brad Wright dropped into the midfield to help out, Kings head had a few fantastic chances with Tom Crellin hitting the post and the Kings Head skipper getting beyond the Honest defence twice but hitting both his shots wide when they both looked easier to score.

Kings Head were really running the show now and Honest were defending for there lives, Every player was putting in a fantastic shift,

Another decision was made to replace the tiring Keith with Sam Carr,

Honest were working Hard, Reminiscent of The Liverpool team against AC Milan in Istanbul, Hawkey was the first to fall to cramp after his fantastic shift at the back alongside Callum, Troy was also feeling the effects of his great wing play but all the players battled threw it everyone worked hard.

Chappo was now the lone man upfront and he was putting himself about,

Aj and Troy was running for all there worth on the wings,

Harrop was Scholes esc in the middle along side Harry who was busting a gut more than Ji-Sung Park

Sammy Car and Harrop were solid in the wing back positions reminiscent of a Cafu and Roberto Carlos in there heyday,

Callum and Dan were as solid as a rock in the heart of the defence and Aiden even though injured in a earlier collision was sill pulling out great saves.

Honest were all over the place with tackles flying in left right and centre they were all fabulous, but ten from a Kings Head throwing Honest went down to 10 men,

Sam Carr went up for a headed and only found the Kings Head wingers shoulder badly breaking his nose, Paul Shaw ran on to try and help but there was nothing he could do but to lead Sam off the pitch with his nose still dripping with blood, after a clean up of the blood and after it eventually stopped Sam prepared himself to go back onto the pitch against the advice of the chief Physio, Honest were still battling hard in every department frustrating Kings Head.

And two mins later the game as finished 2-1 to Honest Lawyer

A fantastic hard earned three points to keep Honest unbeaten and near the summit of the league.

Well Done Boys!
