Away league match played on 23 October 2011.
Kicked off at 11:30 AM

Forth league match third victory for Houghton.Team played well today, they all battled well and most importantly we kept a clean sheet. This clean sheet was achived without our regular keeper matthew, who was away this week. speical mention to Ryan and Josh who both played well in goal for the team. Match started well except we had an early injury, Louis hurt his ankle, so had to bring George on for him in his place( used the magic spray, Louis was ok after a rest). team played well  Max and Ryan played well at the back, broke up attacks kept the swifts away from our goal. Josh made a great save in the first half pouncing on a short then gathering up the rebound( Josh's debut in the league for us... more about him later !). Noah continued his good run of scoring form. with a through ball from Liam in midfield( well done matey held centre of pitch well). Noah ran onto the ball got into the box and blasted it into the net. after that, the goals kept coming for Houghton. next goal, shay made a good run up the left wing, put a cross in the box, george got onto the ball and put it into the net, great confidance booster. then our man Noah got his second. this time a set peice. Shay took a quick throwing from the right touch line, throw it straight to Noah in the box, he controlled it and smashed it into the net( another great finish).

Ted did well Coming on for max in the first half, showed some great touches, getting the ball forward, great distrubution of the ball, did some tidy work at the back

Phew ! second half Ryan went in goal to replace Josh, who went up front, we started the way we finished, within the five minutes we had scored again, this time Josh got onto the ball in the swifts box and dispatched the ball into their net ( did i mention it was his first league match)

Louis  shay and Noah played well in midfield. Louis played well again, he did a great recovery tackle to stop the the swifts, and got some some great tackles in  to start some of our attacks starting again, another good performance.

Forth Goal, Josh again, this time another run from Shay, and a cross, Josh got on the ball and scored another good goal( Did i tell you it was his first league match LOL) well done Josh great debut.

Then for the Coup di Ta ( spelt that wrong). Right at the end of the match Liam who finished the match as he started in midfield, the team broke up an attack, again Shay  got onto the ball another run and cross( Shay your turning into a playmaker for the team,Just like your dad) Liam ran into the box  sorted out his feet, and put the ball in the net. Fantastic well deserved great endeavor. So well done It seems really one sided, but the Swifts played well, they only had a squad of seven so well done to them they never  hung their heads and kept battling and playing onto  the last whistle. Well done syston.

If any of this report is wrong, i apologise in advance, Im currently suffering from concussion from having one of my players blasting the ball at my head ( I'll speak to you Max at training on Sat ! LOL).

Well done lads great victory for the team.
