Home friendly match played on 28 February 2015.
Kicked off at 5:00 PM

After a 2 week break from the CNY celebrations, everyone who turned up either looked lethargic, hung over or reported sick. It didn’t help with the Malay opponents looking young and in good shape. First half started with a 4-4-2 formation with Harold and Colin playing up front. As expected, we were overran within 5 mins with the opponents running circles round the defence. A direct free kick was conceded in the 10th minute and unfortunately Sherman couldn’t keep out. Burazazu FC went 2 goal up after a blistering run by their winger, crossing and the striker giving Sherman no chance at all. Good build up and a fine finish. After being 2 nil down, Inception somehow woke up and started playing football. Lots of good interplay among the players and the highlight of the half was Yiong hitting a sweet right footer smashing the left post. 2-0 in favour to Burazazu FC.

Second half started like how it ended with Incepcion pinning the opponent in their own half. A goal was needed to get back into the game and it came with Colin hitting home after an assist by Harold. Everyone on the by lines thought it was a miss. 2-1 down, we continued to press but was caught on the counter by their speedy show boating 66 although there was a big suspicion of him being in an offside position. 3-1 to Burazazu FC. Incepcion did not give up and Daryl pulled a goal back after being assisted by Colin’s Hands of God. With 10 mins, Incepcion poured upfront in search of the equalizer. It duly came when Lawrence.H storming upfront and winning a penalty. Harold duly converted the spot kick to level up. Incepcion almost won the tie in the last minute with Colin's looping header being pushed onto the post after a fine save from the keeper. Final whistle saw the opponents frustrated with the result and wanted to pick a fight with our Ang Mos. Luckily they were held up by their own players. Final score, 3-3.

This was the best game which we have seen in a long time. It was a tough choice for MOM as everyone played their roles. Starting from the defence with Lawerence.H and Damien being the rocks, Clarence meeting balls instead of men, and Bee playing striker at times when in search of a winner. Yiong had an inspirational game as well and Harold with his assists and goals. This is a first time we had all our foreign imports present and Jason did his usual stuffs. And also, we had our guest player Chan who did exceptionally well holding up the midfield with Loy.

This match MOM goes to Harold for his industrial work rate and assist for Colin's goal, and scoring the equalizer with the penalty. Well done Harold.

Those who were sick, get well soon and see you this week.

Best,

SK
