Away friendly match played on 16 March 2019.
Kicked off at 5:00 PM

For 2 weeks running, same pitch and same outcome. However this time we made things a little difficult for ourselves. Well at least, a win is still a win, we might even win 4d tomorrow with the "kangtao" number too.

Sky was opening up when we got here with streaks of lignting which caused the 3pm game to be abandoned early. The gods were clearly on our side as the sun returned as soon as we stepped onto our lucky pitch. Opponents were a group of malay veterans who have some technically good ball playing and physical players.

We got on to a good early start when Harold flew down the right flank and float an inch perfect cross for "Patba" to power a header to the right hand corner of the goal. He didn't celebrate, just showed off his new "Patba" stare and new hairdo. Game was flowing back and forth furiously and Max bore the majority of the tackles. A loose ball into our box was unjustly deemed to be handled by Ben Jr, which they converted the penalty at ease. Maybe Sherman would have shown SK how to save penalty..... Hmmm. Sherman finally got into goal after 30mins and SK shockingly became Bobby! This will definitely piss the real Bobby off.... Lol!

Richard's industrious running was rewarded when he ran in a loose ball on the left which he coolly lobbed over the keeper. Richard as always, his humble self claimed it was meant to be a cross. Past the 20th min mark, the streams of subs start coming in, but it's Stuart who came on and made it his show. Dancing down the left flank repeatly, he was a constant menace to their RB who eventually never returned in the 2nd half. Countless crosses into the 6 yard box was met by Colin twice but one was strangely called offside. We lead at half time 3-1.

2nd half started with the same lineup which ended the 1st. We were caught cold when a series of one touch passing tore our defence and they pulled one back. Sensing a comeback on the cards, our opponents poured forward with raids after raids of attack and we stupidly conceded another 2 quick goals. One off a tackle which lead to another spot kick, and another a tap in. Down 4-3, but as our Capt always said, heads up and boy we did.

Max was finally called back onto the pitch after someone noticed him walking back and forth on the touchline mumbling to himself.....came on and immediately created a major impact on the game. A goalmouth scramble lead to Dave blasting in the equalizer. Max then went on a mazy run and his long range shot was slightly deflected out for a corner. His corner found a salmon, oh I mean Colin, who powered a bullet header to regain our lead. Max finished off another attack by blasting in the final goal of the day.

Many must have thought why didn't I mention Colin's miss from 6 yards out.... Only his roomie understands.... He's sick of durians and hattricks la. Moreover, he wanted the whole team to win again with a kangtao number.... Like that how can score. Last but not the least, why give Patba the assist?!

Sorry for the longwinded match report as I'm only standing in for our Captain's absence. Subject to organiser's approval to postpone next week's final league game, please give one final effort to win and claim 2nd spot. Thanks for the effort today and good luck for next week.
