Labyrinth Football Club Ladies travelled to Orbit Colledge Rustenburg on 20 September 2025 for their league away fixture against Orbit Queens, kicking off at 3:00pm. The match ended in a 4-0 defeat for Labyrinth FC Ladies, as Orbit Queens asserted their dominance throughout the 90 minutes plus added time.
Labyrinth FC Ladies lined up in a traditional 4-4-2 formation, aiming to balance defensive solidity with attacking options. Thibathiba Thebe took her place between the sticks as goalkeeper, protected by a back four comprising Tshegofatso Pheko at right back, Letlhogonolo Ditau and Nhlayakgosi Lebogang as central defenders, and Mpho Kheswa on the left flank. The midfield four featured Motlhame Future on the right wing, Tsagae Bonolo and Resego Ntsayagae centrally tasked with both defensive cover and creative duties, while Mosele Ashley operated on the left. Up front, the strike partnership consisted of Penyenye Keamogetswe on the right and Mabalane Rachael on the left. On the bench, Kekana Masego, Keotshepile Bokhutleng, and Sebeko Katlego were available to influence the game as substitutes.
The match got underway with Orbit Queens quickly imposing themselves on the game. The first goal came in the 15th minute from a direct free-kick, expertly struck with the right foot by an Orbit Queens player, leaving Thebe with little chance. This early setback forced Labyrinth FC Ladies to reorganise and seek a response, but the visitors struggled to find rhythm against a confident home side.
As the game progressed, Orbit Queens continued to press and extended their lead in the 31st minute with a well-worked team move that culminated in a clinical finish. Labyrinth’s defensive line was repeatedly tested, and the midfield found it difficult to retain possession under pressure.
Shortly before half-time, Labyrinth made their first substitution with Kekana Masego replacing right midfielder Motlhame Future in the 42nd minute, signalling a tactical attempt to inject fresh legs and energy into the midfield. The first half concluded at the 45-minute mark with Orbit Queens firmly in control at 2-0.
The second half saw Labyrinth FC Ladies attempting to claw back into the game, but defensive errors proved costly. In the 58th minute, a defensive mistake allowed Orbit Queens to capitalise and score their third goal, further denting the visitors’ hopes of a comeback.
In response, Labyrinth made a tactical substitution in the 65th minute, bringing on Keotshepile Bokhutleng for left forward Mabalane Rachael, aiming to bolster their attacking threat. Despite this change, the visitors continued to struggle to break down the home side’s defence.
Another tactical switch followed in the 79th minute as Sebeko Katlego replaced left defender Mpho Kheswa, likely an effort to refresh the defensive line and stem the tide of attacks. However, the changes failed to halt Orbit Queens’ momentum.
The final goal of the match arrived in the 84th minute amid a frantic goalmouth scramble, with Orbit Queens pouncing to make it 4-0. Labyrinth FC Ladies were unable to respond in the closing stages, and the match ended with a comprehensive victory for the home side.
Overall, Orbit Queens demonstrated superior organisation and clinical finishing, while Labyrinth FC Ladies struggled to convert possession into meaningful chances and were undone by defensive lapses. The substitutions made by Labyrinth showed intent but ultimately could not alter the course of the match. The 100-strong crowd witnessed a dominant home performance as Orbit Queens secured all three points.
