Lads Club Juniors U12 welcomed Toros FC U12 Lightning to their home ground on 29 March 2026 for a 9-a-side league match, kicking off promptly at 10:30am. Over the course of 60 minutes plus added time, Lads Club Juniors delivered a commanding performance, running out comfortable 8-0 winners in front of 33 spectators.

Deploying a 2-4-2 formation, Lads Club Juniors set up with two central defenders anchoring the backline, supported by a quartet of midfielders across the middle, and two forwards leading the attack. Chase Bracegirdle took his place between the sticks as goalkeeper. Archie Rigby and Louis Howells formed the central defensive partnership, tasked with providing solidity and intercepting opposition attacks. The midfield was packed with Charlie Arnold on the right, Finn Jones on the left, and central midfield duties shared by Flyn Watkins and Zayn Prosser, expected to control the tempo and link defence to attack. Up front, Joseph Lee operated on the right wing while Oscar Jones led the line from the left, both charged with creating and converting chances. On the bench, Mali Lewis and Theo Lewis awaited their opportunity to influence the game.

The match burst into life early on with Joseph Lee testing the Toros goalkeeper, his effort rattling the post in the eighth minute. Moments later, Oscar Jones capitalised on the rebound, slotting home a close-range tap-in with his right shin to open the scoring. The Juniors continued their relentless pressure as Flyn Watkins struck the crossbar just a minute later, signalling their attacking intent. Oscar Jones was quick to follow up, doubling the lead with another tap-in in the ninth minute, leaving Toros FC reeling.

Joseph Lee was caught offside shortly after, his mistimed run halting a promising attack. Archie Rigby showcased his defensive prowess with a crucial interception in the twelfth minute, helping to maintain the clean sheet. Finn Jones had a shot saved at sixteen minutes, while Oscar Jones fired wide from a promising position. The first substitutions came at the eighteenth minute with Mali Lewis replacing Flyn Watkins, and shortly after, Theo Lewis came on for Joseph Lee. Zayn Prosser’s wide effort and Theo Lewis’s high shot followed, as the Juniors continued to probe the Toros defence.

Oscar Jones was flagged offside in the twenty-first minute after another mistimed run, but he remained a constant threat. Theo Lewis’s high attempt and Mali Lewis’s saved effort kept the pressure on, with Oscar Jones firing wide again at twenty-five minutes. Mali Lewis had another shot saved at twenty-eight minutes, while Zayn Prosser sent a high effort over the bar. Oscar Jones gave away a free kick on the twenty-nine minute mark for a push, but the Juniors’ dominance was unquestionable.

Just before half-time arrived with Lads Club Juniors comfortably ahead Oscar Jones scored again, this time assisted by a long pass from Louis Howells, rounding the keeper and slotting home with his left foot. The second half saw a flurry of substitutions: Chase Bracegirdle replaced by Oscar Jones in goal, Joseph Lee back on for Theo and Charlie Arnold replacing Finn Jones

Louis Howells headed away a Toros threat early in the second half, while Joseph Lee’s cross created chances at thirty-four minutes, Theo Lewis intercepting soon after. Zayn Prosser’s corner led to an own goal by a Toros player at thirty-seven minutes, extending the lead further. Mali Lewis had another shot saved and was caught offside at forty minutes. Joseph Lee fired wide at forty-one minutes, but Theo Lewis’s long pass created another chance shortly. Oscar Jones swapped the goalie shirt with Flyn Watkins and Finn Jones replaced Theo Lewis.
