Home league match played on 13 September 2009.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

This was a nice welcome to 11 aside in the premier league on this cool sept morning with headstone running out clear winners, but on the whole a very enjoyable match if you was a nuetral.

Lner started off the strongest with a few missed chance's in the opening 5 minutes with some swift movement and passing but nerve's in front of goals let us down

headstone then hit us on the counter, their right winger crossed the ball high and it somehow managed to hit the target giving them the lead.

from kick off lner kept possesion of the ball in the middle of the park and jason m fed the the ball down the right to shoaib in which he took on 2 defenders before cooly finishing the ball hard across the goal scoring the teams 1st prem goal of the season breathing some confidence back in to the team.

with both teams strugling to keep the ball, headstone sent a deadly through ball cutting the defence wide open and their no11 finished with precision leaving all the boys gutted as they was all trying so hard to find their feet.

we knew our luck run out when the ball just wouldn't sit on the ground for us as we tried to play a passing game but coulnt get out of our own half ,headstone attacked and attacked and got their rewards when a midfielder picked up the ball from our clearance and given all the freedom of the pitch to release a shot in the pen area to give them a 3-1 lead.

headstone had us by the scruffs and continued to pressure us in our own pen box and their next 2 goals were carbon copies of their 3rd goal as we was just not closing down quick enough.

HT 1-5

it was time for the manager to tinker and it paid off as from the 2nd half kick off ,he changed formation and personel with dylan dropping to midfield and dev-arjun going solo up front.

it was all LNER this half as we done what we do best and thats use the pitch to its full potential with great vision and composure from dylan in the middle of the park and great team character we got our 2nd goal with  a through ball from jason I for Dev-arjun to score his 1st goal for lner as he left the defenders for dead with blistering pace and finished with a hard low shot to the right.

we had chance after chance but just couldnt turn the great fooball into goals

headstone was knackerd and couldnt handle us and they hoofed the ball up field at every chance and luckily found a foward player lurcking around and he scored a great goal for their 6th.

its a shame the match never went on for another 10mins or so cause i reckon we could have got something out of this match as we just didnt stop knocking on headstone manor's door.

with great character and a superb second half performance proves we can hold our own in this league, lets keep up the good work ,we took great pride in losing this match...

FT 2-6
