A NEW DENDY LEGEND BORN?

GOALS DENDY 35 38 44 70 88 MINS

TARPORLEY GOALS 2 74 MINS

Dendy had a very strong squad out today maybe the best of the season so far. A large turn out of players made it hard for the manager to choose a starting 11.

The pitch was awful as it was last season and the dressing rooms were for 5 aside games not 11 aside.

The game started and as normal Dendy were caught cold when a poor goal kick went straight to the Vic's forward and after only 2 mins Dendy were one down. That seem to shock Dendy and for another ten minutes Dendy looked shocked with some poor passing and rushed play against a Vic's team that looked good at passing. Slowly Dendy grew into the game with some fine defending from all the back four (including Kyle he needs a mention smile emoticon ) and the game became more even as the half progressed. Then came the last ten minutes of the first half when Matt our new striker scored a hat trick on 35 38 and 44 mins. The third being a goal of the season contender. A great cross to the back post from a maundering Scott was taken down and finished with a lovely volley. I was impressed with Matts movement and coolness in taking his chances. I have said it all season we were desperate for a goal scorer and looks like we may have one. Thanks Sprucie for bringing the new lads down (see you do get a mention in reports)

Half time 3-1 to Dendy

Second half the next goal was massive and thankfully Matt again took his chance as cool as ice after 70 mins. Some sloppy play and tiredness let Vic's back into the game on 74 mins to make it 4-2. This spurred them on to but pressure on Dendy until a corner from Sub Tom Vickers on the 88th minute took three Vic touches before ending up in the Vics net.

Final score TARPORLEY VICS RES 2 MARY DENDY 5

Pub was the Nags Head in Bunbury.

Man of the match was no surprise went to 4 goal hero Matt

Though the votes were spread around a bit.

Donkey and a mention in the report goes to Kyle for a fantastic looking outfit which drew envy from his team mates.

Thoughts of the day

Great team performance with plenty of good personnel performances. Good banter in the pub. A goal scorer at last.

Next week is Tarvin away which is a game Dendy could win. Down side is a few of Dendy's players are not available.
