Away league match played on 01 September 2012.
Kicked off at 2:30 PM

new season, new league, new hope.

mexocs new season started in fine form with a polished peformance against possibly the worst team in footballing history.

early game optimism was further enhanced when it became apparent that the old guy who was thought to have wandered in from the allotments at the back was actually playing along with a further two 50 odd year olds. start of the game was nervy from both sides and liobians realy should have taken the lead after a horrible error from new goalkeeper david "biceps" george who flapped at a routine cross which gave the liobians striker an open goal to head into, but amazingly he struck the bar, sparing biceps blushes.

mexoc rallied after that taking the lead not long after, a great through ball from Dan Causley found Pazza who went round the keeper to finish from a tight angle. Causley was involved again minutes later to send dave johnson clear though who clinically finished for mexocs second debutant goal of the game. Causley repeated the trick again sending robbo through who also made no mistake with a great finish. The magnificent Oshea sent Chris Mcintosh through who finished at the second attempt to put the game out of sight within 35 minutes. Causley again proved provider when his long ball bounced over the hapless liobians keeper for a simple finish from pazza for 5 zero half time lead.

No changes at half time, only point of note being Regans excellent description of Liobians central defender "look at the fucking age of him, hes about 65"

Second half started where the first left off with mexoc thoroughly dominant, Faulkner, oshea even jonny williams trying there luck unsucsessfully, the 6th was not long in coming with dave johnson proving that a stint on a desert island pays dividends with a good finish after another mistake from the appaling liobians goalkeeper. The 7th wasnt long coming great play from robbo who found Causley who deservedley got his name on the score sheet, he added to his tally with the "goal of the game" not long after with a thrilling run taking him flying past each of the oppostions pensioners.

The excellent Robbo and Faulkner where replaced respectfully by Smithy and Frazer, Smithy then immediately soiled the atmosphere of the game with a terrible dive that shocked even his own teammates, a moment that is only trumped in embarrasment by Jonny Williams "headbutt" in the preseason friendly v mossley hill.

The eighth duly arrived in the form of Pazzas hat trick after Causley put the gloss on his excellent individual peformance by laying the ball on a plate to a fully confident pazza who made no mistake. The rout was completed with 5 minutes left when John Frazer delivered a deap ball which was flicked on from Dave "castaway" Johnson to be thundered home for Chris Mcintoshs 2nd debut goal of the day.

Liobians came close right at the end when Claude Greengrasses through ball put the striker through but a great last ditch tackle by Danny Williams secured an opening day clean sheat.

All in all a very satisfying opening to the new season
