Home league match played on 12 March 2016.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

Phantoms started well, controlling midfield and holding the ball well.
Hawks keeper called into action early to make an excellent save from
Harry. Phantoms main issue was giving away needless corners and from
one of these, a lack of desire to close the ball down led to a free
shot in the box which made its way into the net.

More chances followed by Phantoms, one a fantastic save low left from
a shot on the edge of box. However, we then conceded a very soft
second goal from some wide play. 2 attacks 2 goals.

Halftime talk was more desire in final third, less touches and
anticipate around the oppo keeper.

Second half - we had good control of the central midfield and there
were excellent passing combos. However, the boys look a little
shackled when they attacked and there was a need to get more players
forward. One or two disruptions due to some nasty looking injuries. EH - concern for him when he took a very late knock on his leg. RD who ended up with a nasty cut high on the thigh caused by studs. No acknowledgement on the sidelines.

Phantoms finally made it 2-1 as they finally benefitted from a bit of
pressure being applied. 2-1 final score.

We had good chunks of the game but lacked real desire and cutting edge to make it count.

In old footballing terms it was the second ball stuff. Balls going
into the opposition box are half cleared creating opportunities to
follow up on. That was how the first CPR goal was scored. Credit to Hawks who despite not having a lot of possession found a way to win.
