On a cold and windy Monday evening the 3rd quarterfinal of FAECES took place when Phil G’s Frilly Knickers took on Griffiths (Griffins) Ukraine No Braines. In a condition hit game, it was stand in captain Griffin’s side (or tactical genius Griffiths who is through to the semis without picking a side yet) that came out on top.
1 – 0 Lovely linkup play from Spence and Daz was followed by Daz nearly falling over the ball which deceived the Knickers defender and Daz slotted into the corner.
2 – 0 Continued strong link up play between Daz and Spence again saw Spence the provider for Daz’s second of the game.
3 – 0 Daz completed his hat trick after good build up play saw Griff hit a low hard cross into the area which Daz converted.
3 – 1 Subo got a consolation when him and Ash combined before Ash slid the ball across the front of the goal and Subo tapped in.
Men of the Match were Rowan as “he was exposed to a lot of one-on-ones and did very well to keep the goal difference to just 2 goals”, and Daz “for his hat-trick”.
